Meyer wins 2016 Homecoming Queen

The 2016 Millington Central High School Homecoming Queen is… Gabby Meyer. The senior was announced as the selection of the football team and school at Friday night’s game at the Millington Football Stadium. Her victory was the highlight of a night featuring a 27-20 win by the football team over the Kirby Cougars. Meyer is the daughter of Christi Monasco and Jim Meyer. Her father escorted down the 50-yard line and there to hug his queen as her tears flowed after the announcement of her name across the PA system.

Meyer is involved in art, music, dancing, and computers. She is a member of the Specials Friends Club. Meyers enjoys spreading love and empathy to all she meets.

Other members of Meyer’s court were freshmen Jayla Gannaway escorted by brother Tim Miller, and Kelsey O’Neal escorted by brother Kyle Floyd; sophomores Christina Hernandez escorted by her father Jose Hernandez, Arielle Partee escorted by her favorite teacher Mrs. Ethington, and Nisi Tuikaba escorted by her father Tyrail Tuikaba; juniors Dymond Green escorted by her father Darrel Green, Kenyatte Hart escorted by her brother Carlos Hart, and Lily Morton escorted by father Earl Morton; seniors Trevona Desouza escorted by her cousin Timothy Thompson, Kasey Gallo escorted by her father Don Gallo, Kirsten Mayse escorted by her father Jason Mayse and Morgan Williams escorted by her father Leon Williams.
