Millington proclaims March 25 First Tennessee Day

Mayor Terry Jones of Millington proclaimed March 25 “First Tennessee Day” in honor of the company’s 150th anniversary on March 25.  The proclamation celebrated the company’s proud history, its impact as the leading bank in Tennessee and its commitment to the communities it serves, like Millington. First Tennessee is a subsidiary of First Horizon National Corp. (NYSE:FHN). “Whereas, First Tennessee was founded in 1864 when Abraham Lincoln was president and for 150 years has earned the trust of Tennesseans,” Mayor Jones stated. “Whereas, First Tennessee is building the foundation for its next 150 years of service to its customers, employees, communities and shareholders.” Thelma Brown, financial center manager, accepted the proclamation from Mayor Jones at the First Tennessee Bank Millington financial center.
