The district rematch between the Covington Chargers and Millington Trojans was a classic pitchers’ duel. On the mound in Miles Park were Millington senior ace Tyler Morgan and Covington sophomore hurler Blake Weir. After the Chargers secured a 12-0 win the previous night in Covington, both teams went between the lines on March 24. After seven innings of regulation, the score was tied 0-0 with both teams only managing four hits against Morgan and Weir. Eventually Covington was able to earn a pair of runs to prevail 2-0 in extra innings.
