The Ford Motor Co. hosted hundreds of people, including state and local officials, Friday morning on the grounds of the largest single investment in Tennessee – BlueOval City in Haywood County’s Stanton.
Gov. Bill Lee announced the state’s plans to invest $1 billion in Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology.
Ford’s President and CEO Jim Farley said the construction of the electric vehicle and battery plant is on track to roll out its EV trucks in 30 months.
Through Ford’s corporate grant program – the Ford Fund – 17 non-profit organizations in counties in southwest Tennessee will share $1.2 million in grant funds. More than 200 organizations applied for the funding. Pick up a copy of next week’s edition for details from Friday’s event.
