The Millington Fire and Police departments received a 911 call at 4:56 am involving a Greyhound bus. Upon arrival, the Greyhound bus struck an SUV. The SUV caught fire upon impact.
The driver of the SUV was able to get out of vehicle and was transported to Baptist East with non-life-threatening injuries.
The MFD reports 15 passengers and the bus driver were uninjured and refused medical treatment. Earlier this morning, Highway 51 south bound was closed for accident investigation and debris removal. Greyhound sent another bus to pick up passengers to continue to their destination.
