NEWS ALERT- Evans new face on the School Board

Going into Election Night, the residents of Millington knew there would be at least one new face on the Millington School Board in the battle between Greg Ritter and Marlon Evans for Position 1, relinquished by Roger Christopher.

In a competitive race, Evans edged out Ritter by 327 votes according to the Shelby County Election Commission. Evans joins Mark Coulter as victors on the night in runoff elections. Coulter won over Deanna Speight. Evans and Coulter are joined by Barbara Halliburton and Chris Denson on the Board with the duo being unopposed.

Two Millington Alderman positions were unopposed as well with Thomas McGhee and Don Lowry retaining their spots on the Board at Position 5 and 6 respectively.

Mike Caruthers will be returning to the Board after beating Tom Stephens for Position 7 by nearly 1,500 votes.

Millington Mayor Terry Jones will have four more years being unopposed and receiving 3,336 votes.
