With many questions about the new venue and layout of the annual Flag City Freedom Celebration, the City of Millington has released a map to help plan out parking and other phases for July 1.
The 2021 City of Millington Flag City Freedom Celebration has a new location at the Millington Sports Complex located at 4885 Bill Knight Road. Most of the festivities will take place the softball and baseball fields. The public is invited out July 1 starting at 6 p.m. for the fun and fireworks.
Join Millington Parks and Recreation for the annual Flag City Freedom Celebration on that Thursday at the new Millington Sports Complex. A spectacular fireworks show and music by Sherry Oke. The gates open at 6 p.m. and fireworks will begin at sundown. Parking is $5 a vehicle. Parking is also very limited (please carpool).
Bring your picnic basket, blankets, coolers and lawn chairs. Food and beverage concessions will be available. For the safety and enjoyment of all, absolutely no lasers, pets, personal fireworks, grills, campfires, or political campaigning will be allowed. We ask that you social distance from other families.
