Word spread around Flag City throughout Sunday about a tragedy.
Today the Millington Police Department released details about a young girl being shot and killed in Millington on Sunday.
Police and fire crews were called to the home on Clear Creek Drive around 2 p.m. yesterday. Officers arrived on the scene to discover the fatally shot girl. No certain age was given by authorities but it is believed the victim was younger than 18 years old.
The Millington Police Department is currently investigating the crime.
