The Millington Trojan Soccer team had a chance to remain unbeaten in District 15-2A play April 6 at Hornet Field welcoming the Ripley Tigers. In commanding fashion, the Trojans dominated from first whistle to last double whistle for a 9-0 victory over the Tigers. Just two minutes into the game, Millington’s Timmy Aderinoye headed in a corner kick assist to make it 1-0. After a couple of near misses, Coach Rosemary Boswell and Coach William Carter witnessed their squad blitz Ripley starting with a Colby Goode chip-in goal. About four minutes later, the score was 3-0 Millington when Mauricio Luna scored on a rebound at the 24 minute mark.  Fast forward to the 26th minute of the first half and Fernando Hernandez made it 4-0 Trojans with a goal.  Goode got back into the scoring act with less than 10 minutes remaining in the first half with his second goal. The final goal of the first half came courtesy of a penalty kick causal kicked in by Millington’s Aaron Blankenship.  In the second half, it was all-Goode with the senior executing a hat-trick in the 40 minutes to make the final 9-0.
