January Meeting of the Lucy Garden Club

The guest speaker at the Lucy Garden Club meeting on Jan. 5 will be Master Gardener Melisa Nowag. Nowag will be discussing Irrigation methods for vegetable gardening. With water costs and the time to water, irrigation can be a cheaper, labor saving benefit to our gardens. Nowag comes from a long-line of gardeners. Her father was a bee keeper and named her Melisa which is German for “Honeybee.” She gardens on five acres in Collierville with her best friend, her husband of more than 30 years. She loves nature and all the plants and animals it provides. Join the members for her presentation. Lucy Garden Club meets at the Lucy Wedding Chapel at 6185 Chase Road in Millington. The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. with our guest speaker followed by refreshments and than the business meeting.
