Patsy Carol Downing Billings, 77, a lifelong resident of Tipton County, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Funeral services for Patsy Billings were held on April 2, at Munford Funeral Home – Munford Chapel. A graveside service followed at Helen Crigger Cemetery.
JOHN WILLIAM BOWMAN
John William Bowman, 56, a man of immense strength, brilliant intellect, and unwavering devotion, passed away on March 28, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 18, 2026, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Munford Funeral Home in Munford. John was a man who parted oceans for those he loved; he will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
DANNY ‘DAN’ ELROD
Danny “Dan” Elrod, 66, passed away on March 28, 2026 at Methodist Germantown. Dan spent more than 20 years working at Cole’s CARQUEST Auto Parts and Servicenter in Munford, where he took pride in his work and, more importantly, the friendships he built. His favorite part of the job was working alongside Dewayne and Aaron. A memorial service to celebrate Dan’s life was hosted by the family on April 4, in Brighton.Dan will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

JOHN EDWARD LANDSITTEL
John Edward Landsittel, 85, of Munford, passed away on March 27, 2026. The family received friends on March 31 at Munford Funeral Home – Munford Chapel. Born September 27, 1940, in Marietta, Ohio, John was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He proudly served in the United States Navy for 20 years, retiring as a Senior Chief Petty Officer, and was a Vietnam veteran. He later worked as an aircraft mechanic with the U.S. Navy, Beech Aerospace, and Raytheon. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Washington Landsittel and Hazel Estelle Bernier, and his brothers, Tom and William. He is survived by his wife, Lawanda Diane Landsittel; his daughter, Laura Strickland (Wendell) and granddaughter Sabrina; his son, John Landsittel, Jr. (Xan) and grandchildren Jenna (Carder Poore) and Gavin; and his brothers, Ed and George. John will be remembered for his dedication to his family and his service to his country. He will be deeply missed. The family asked in lieu of flowers to please donate to Disabled Veterans.
JOE B. WALKER
Joe B. Walker, 84, traded his earthly body for his new and improved heavenly body on March 26, 2026. Joe was born on April 10, 1941, in Bruceton. After graduating from high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Army for four years. Following his military service, he began a long and dedicated career with CSX Railroad, where he worked for 32 years before retiring in 2002. During his time with the railroad, Joe met the love of his life, Lila. After five years of courtship, they were united in marriage on March 22, 1995, and recently celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary—a testament to their deep and enduring love. Joe was an exceptional sketch artist, known for his talent and creativity. He also deeply cherished his church family at Community Baptist Church – Rosemark, where he found great joy, fellowship, and faith. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ines; his father, Goldie; and his brother, Johnnie. Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Lila Walker; his stepchildren, Erika Baldwin (Matt Baldwin) and Rudy Forster; and his cherished grandchildren, Scott Fisher, Jr., Abbey Baldwin, Lila Baldwin, Andrew Forster, and Adam Wallace. He leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and devotion that will be remembered by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, Joe’s wish was for donations to be made to Community Baptist Church. Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home had charge.
