JAMES NOAH CRAIG

James Noah Craig, 103, retired manager of Trailways Bus Co. passed away November 22, 2021. Mr. Craig was a U.S. Army veteran who served during World War II and was a member of First United Methodist Church Millington. He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Williams of Atoka; son, Otis Craig (Debbie) of Saltillo, Miss.; sister, Marjorie E. Camp (Grady); five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. A graveside service was held at Poplar Grove Cemetery in Drummonds. Munford Funeral Home Munford Chapel had charge. 

STANLEY CARL FORBES

Stanley Carl Forbes, 63, passed away November 23, 2021, at his home in Burlison. There was a Memorial service Nov. 27 at Elm Grove United Methodist Church, in Burlison. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or St. Jude.

EMMETT R. FORTE

Emmett R. Forte, 69, passed away on November 20, 202. There was walk through viewing for Mr. Forte on Nov. 27 with a memorial service at Fullview Baptist Church. Interment followed at Prosperity Cemetery on Old Brownsville Road in Bartlett. Jefferson Mortuary Inc. had charge.

STEVEN WILLIAM HARPER 

Steven William Harper, 67, of Millington, stepped into Eternity on November 23, 2021. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and loyal friend and above all loved Jesus whom he had been looking forward to seeing face to face. Steve was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 5, 1954 to Dewitt and Dolores Harper. At the age of 18, Steve considered it his honor to voluntarily enlist in the United States Army to serve our country during the Vietnam War in 1972. He served our country until 1975. Steve continued in public service, working for the City of Memphis for 21 years and after retiring went on to many other endeavors including working for Shelby County school system. He was a gifted artist and musician who enjoyed playing many instruments. He enjoyed music, cooking, painting, fishing, hunting, and drinking coffee every morning with friends. His survivors include his daughters, Tonya Tomaszewski of Drummonds, Mandy Holton (Micah) of Columbia, S.C.; his 6 loving grandchildren; Peyton Edmondson (Caleb), Emma Tomaszewski, Nicholas Tomaszewski, Luciana Holton, Anna Claire Holton, and Grayam Holton; brothers, Gary Harper and Jimmy Harper; sisters, Linda Harper, and Debbie Lee (Paul). A visitation for Steve was on Nov. 27  at Munford Funeral Home in Millington from 2:00-3:00 pm with the funeral service following. His burial will be held on Monday, December 27 at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery (4000 Forest Hill Irene Road, Memphis TN) with Army funeral honors. Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel had charge. 

REBECCA ‘BECKY’ MAE MIDDLETON

Rebecca “Becky” Mae Middleton, 69, of Munford, died November 21, 2021. Munford Funeral Home Munford Chapel had charge. 

MARIA COLLEEN STAFFORD

Maria Colleen Stafford, 50, of Atoka, passed away November 22, 2021. The family received friends Nov. 28 at the Millington Chapel. A service was held at the Millington Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (StJude.org). Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel had charge. 

ANITA PAULETTE WILSON

Anita Paulette Wilson 57 of Covington passed November 18, 2021. Visitation was held Nov. 27 at Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Covington and the funeral service was held later with interment in Townsend Cemetery in Covington.
