JEREMY C. BILLINGS JR. 

Jeremy C. Billings, Jr., passed away November 28, 2021. The family received friends Dec. 2 with a service all at the Munford Chapel. Interment followed in Randolph Cemetery in Burlison. ALVIN RAY BREWER

Mr. Alvin Ray Brewer, 72, of Millington, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital, Bartlett. There was a visitation for Mr. Brewer on Dec. 4 with a memorial service at Jefferson Mortuary, Inc., in Millington. Interment followed at Gilfield Church Cemetery, in Arlington. Jefferson Mortuary, Inc. had charge.

ROBERT HURDLE

Robert Hurdle, 89, passed away November 30, 2021. Mr. Hurdle retired from the U.S. Navy as an aviation machinist, retired from the Civil Service as an aviation mechanic, was a member of the Millington Training Active Reserve, and enjoyed playing golf. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Johnnie Hurdle and daughter, Jackie Hurdle. He is survived by his wife, Jackie Hurdle; sister, Loraine of Columbus, Ga.; granddaughter, Talitha Pollard (Gary); three great-grandchildren, Garret Reeves, Riyan Pollard and Addisyn Pollard. The family received friends Dec. 2 at First United Methodist Church in Millington until the service. Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel had charge. 

LOUISE MARIE SAUCEDO MAILLET

Louise Marie Saucedo Maillet, 89, of Atoka, passed away on Friday evening, November 26, 2021, following a brief illness. She traveled the world as a Navy wife while raising five children. The family retired from the Navy in 1978 in San Diego, Calif. Bill started a second career with Civil Service taking he and Louise to Japan, ultimately retiring in Atoka, in 2001. Louise was a life-time member of the of the Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 7175 where she was also a member of the Cooties. She supported her husband in his endeavors to support the Fleet Reserve. She enjoyed bingo, sewing, gardening, doll collecting and Sunday afternoon shuffleboard at the VFW. Louise never met a stranger and practically raised many more children to whom she didn’t give birth. She was dedicated to her family raising three girls, two boys and spoiling eight grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, William J. Maillet, Jr. of Atoka; one son Mike Maillet (Karen) of Lemon Grove, Calif.; three daughters Linda Bacon (Steve); Debbie Rickman (Hugh) and Deanna Kurosawa (Rick) all of Tipton County; two brothers, Gus Saucedo of Walnut Creek, Calif., and George Saucedo (Karen) of San Francisco, Calif.; two sisters, Emily LaRocca of San Francisco, Calif., and Elizabeth Taylor (Frank), of Santa Rosa, Calif.; seven grandchildren: Trey Rickman, Timothy and Kristen Bacon, Will and Robbie Maillet, Elina Otto, Samantha Shirey and four great-grandchildren: Mason and Miles Rickman and Kylee and Lincoln Otto and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Gus and Louise Saucedo; one brother, Charlie Saucedo; one sister, Teresa Spremich; one son, Billy Maillet and one grandson, Matthew Rickman. A Celebration of Life was held at First United Methodist Church, Millington, on Dec. 4, with visitation followed by the service. Family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the VFW Post 7175, 4681 Cuba Millington Road, Millington, TN 38053, The American Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor’s choice.

ANGELA YVONNE MOSLEY

Angela Yvonne Mosley, 48, of Millington,  passed away on November 24, 2021 at her residence.There was a visitation for Ms. Mosley on Dec. 3 at Jefferson Mortuary, Inc., in Millington. There was a viewing on Dec. 4 before the funeral service at St. John Baptist Church, in Atoka. Interment followed at the St. John Community Cemetery. Jefferson Mortuary, Inc. had charge.

ROBERT W. RENO

Robert W. Reno, 79, of Millington, passed away November 30, 2021, at St. Francis Hospital-Bartlett. The family received friends Dec. 2 at Munford Funeral Home – Millington Chapel. A funeral service was held on Dec. 3 at the Millington Chapel. Interment was in Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Germantown Parkway. Munford Funeral Home – Munford Chapel had charge. 

BETTY JO SIMS

Betty Jo Sims, 92, of Drummonds, passed away November 26, 2021, at St. Francis Hospital-Bartlett. The family received friends Dec. 2 until the service at the Munford Chapel. Interment followed in Poplar Grove Cemetery in Drummonds. Munford Funeral Home Munford Chapel had charge.
