Morris Wayne Biggs, 78, of Victoria, Miss., formerly of Millington, passed away January 29, 2021. He was a retired Lieutenant with the Memphis Police Department. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey and Dorothy Biggs and sister, Reva Baker. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Martha Biggs; daughters, Mary George (David), Dayna Briggs (David), and Pam Tucker; brother, Leonard Biggs; eight grandchildren, Matthew Briggs, Anna Henderson, Leah Tucker, Alayna Tucker, Philip George, Thomas George, Joseph George and Wesley George; and four great-grandchildren, Merritt Briggs, Malone Briggs, Lucy Henderson and Tessa Henderson. A graveside service was held Feb. 1, at Mudville Cemetery in Millington. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Lorraine Birchfield, 61, of Brighton, passed away January 28, 2021 at Methodist Hospital North. The family received friends Feb. 6 at Munford Funeral Home-Munford Chapel until the service. Interment followed in the Forest Hill East Cemetery. Munford Funeral Home had charge.

Fae Kirby Shannon Henson, 69, of Millington, passed away January 31, 2021 at Methodist Hospital North in Memphis. There was a walk-through viewing for Mrs. Henson on Feb. 10 with a memorial service at Jefferson Mortuary, Inc., in Millington. Interment will take place on Wednesday, February 17th at 1:30 p.m. at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Road, Memphis, Tennessee. Jefferson Mortuary, Inc. had charge.

Hugh Eugene Pouncey, 74, passed away January 29, 2021, at the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Humboldt. Hugh was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served in Vietnam. He was a graduate of Munford High School and Memphis State University. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Marie Meadors Pouncey of Quito; a sister-in-law, Abby Fisher Pouncey of Chicago; and a nephew, John Pouncey of Quito. He is survived by his sister, Beverly Burk (James) of Quito; and two brothers, David Pouncey (Peggy) of Quito and Lynn Pouncey of The Villages, Florida. He is also survived by a nephew, Bill Pouncey (Jill) of Chattanooga; four nieces, Renee Burk (Paul) of St. Petersburg, Florida; Julia Pouncey of Quito; Cindy Cline (Mike) of Somerville; and Stephanie Burk (JEremy) of Kinsasha, The Democratis of Congo. A family graveside service will be held later.
