JAMES CASEY ‘JC’ FLOYD

James Casey “J.C.” Floyd, 103, of Millington, born September 8,1919 in Tishomingo, Miss., passed away on January 18, 2023, at his home in Millington. The family received friends Jan. 22 at Millington First Baptist Church in Millington. The interment was in Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery Jan. 25. He was an electrician for the Naval Base for 34 years, a Grizzlies fan, and loved to cut grass and garden. He was a member of Millington First Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge 3rd degree for 77 years, NARFE, and Millington Senior Citizens. He is preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Hart Floyd; a daughter, Joan Sims (Butch); a son, Casey Floyd; parents, Richard and Carrie Floyd; five sisters, and four brothers. He is survived by a daughter, Janet Floyd (Marty); two sons, Anthony Floyd (Gloria) and Billy Floyd (Phyllis); 11 grandchildren; including his granddaughter, Teresa Wells, who took wonderful care of him: and 23 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great grandchild;

SHELBY JEAN MOSS BOURLAND

Shelby Jean Moss Bourland, of Munford, passed away on January 22, 2023. The family received friends Jan. 25 at the Munford Chapel until the service. Interment followed in Helen Crigger Cemetery. Munford Funeral Homes had charge.

ERIC T. DANCY

Eric T. Dancy, 49, of Brighton, passed away on January 16, 2023 at his residence. There was a visitation for Mr. Dancy on Jan. 25 with a funeral service at St. Stephens Baptist Church. Interment followed at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, in Memphis. Jefferson Mortuary, Inc. had charge.

JUNE ANN EDWARDS

June Ann Edwards, 85, of Millington,  passed away on January 20, 2023, at Ripley Healthcare and Rehab. The family received friends Jan. 27 until the service. The interment was in Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

THOMAS R. ‘RICK’ HARRIS JR. 

Thomas R. Harris, Jr. (Rick), 52, passed away in peace on January 18, 2023. He was born in Atwater, CA and has lived in the Mid-South for the last 47 years. The family received friends Jan. 27 at the Millington Chapel until the service. Interment followed in Poplar Grove Cemetery in Drummonds. 

RICHARD W. KESLER

Richard W. Kesler, 65, passed away January 21, 2023. Friends attended a visitation Jan. 24 at the Millington Chapel. 

ANN KESTERSON

Ann Kesterson, 82, of Munford, passed away on January 23, 2023, at her home. The family received friends Jan. 26, at Munford Funeral Home – Munford Chapel until the service. The interment was in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at a later date. Munford Funeral Home had charge. 

GEORGE D. LaCOMB

George D. LaComb, 81, passed away January 21, 2023. Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel had charge.

CASEY LEIGH McDANIEL

Casey Leigh McDaniel, 42, of Atoka, passed away on January 20, 2023. The family received friends Jan. 28 at Munford Funeral Home – Munford Chapel until the service. A graveside service was held at a later date. The family requested to have flowers sent to Munford Funeral Home – Munford Chapel.

LOIS SAWYER ORMAN 

Lois Sawyer Orman, 98, of Millington, passed away January 19, 2023, at her home. The family received friends Jan. 23, at Munford Funeral Home – Millington Chapel until the service. The interment was in Memphis Memory Gardens.

EDWARD ‘E.V.’ PATTON

Edward “EV” Patton, 82, of Brighton, passed away on January 24, 2023 at Methodist Hospital – North in Memphis.  “E V” loved country music and sang at the Strand Theater in Millington for 28 years.  He was a U. S. Army National Guard veteran and a retired lineman with MLG&W. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Patton; one son, Jim (Angie) Patton; one daughter, Pamela Orman; two brothers, Billy (Doris) Patton and Jerry (Sharon) Patton; one sister, Ruby Patton; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother. Funeral services were held Jan. 28 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. The family received friends two hours prior to the service at the Covington Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

ROBERT ‘BOB’ GERALD TORREY

Robert “Bob” Gerald Torrey, 63, of Millington, passed away on January 18, 2023. A private Memorial Service will be held on Kelly’s Island, Ohio at a later date to celebrate his life. Millington Funeral Home had charge
