MARY ALICE BOLTON

Mary Alice Bolton, 84, of Millington, passed away on January 21, 2022 peacefully at her residence. There was a walk through visitation for Mrs. Bolton Jan. 30 with memorial service at Jefferson Mortuary, Inc., in Millington. Interment followed at Noah Chapel AME – Church Cemetery, in Millington. Jefferson Mortuary, Inc. had charge. 

DAISY JUGUIAD BUDCHANGAN

Daisy Juguiad Budchangan, 61, of Atoka, was peacefully called home to be with the Lord on January 25, 2022, after her long battle with cancer. Her viewing was at Munford Funeral Home in Munford, Jan. 28. Her funeral service was at Munford Funeral Home in Munford, on Jan. 29 with her burial service at Salem Cemetery off Atoka Idaville Road.

LORIE LYNN CAMPBELL-NOWLIN

Lorie Lynn Campbell-Nowlin, 47, came to rest peacefully at home with the ones that she loved on January 24, 2022. The family is honoring her request to not have a funeral service. Donations are asked to be made in her name to the Warrior Dog Foundation at www.warriordogfoundation.org.

BARBARA LYNN BULLOCK COLLINS

Barbara Lynn Bullock Collins, 72, of Atoka, was born on July 30, 1949, and passed away on January 23, 2022. The family will receive friends Friday, Feb. 4, at the Munford Funeral Home-Munford Chapel from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. The service will be held at Atoka United Methodist Church on Saturday, Feb. 5, at 11:00 am. Interment to follow in Helen Crigger Cemetery. Munford Funeral Home Munford Chapel had charge. 

JEAN ADKISON JORDAN

Jean Adkison Jordan, 93, of Burlison, passed away on January 22, 2022. Funeral services were held Jan. 26 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment in Covington Memorial Gardens.

Avis A. Miller 85 of Millington passed away January 24, 2022. Millington Funeral Home had charge.

Donna Percer

Donna F. Percer, 85, passed away January 25, 2022. Mrs. Percer was preceded in death by her husband, Bobbie Percer and her parents, Hudson and Thelma Farris. She is survived by her sons, Bobbie Percer, Jr. (Donna) of Millington, Leo Percer (Lisa) of Lynchburg, Va., and Scott Percer (Angie) of Millington; six grandchildren, Ethan Percer, Phoebe Percer, Spencer Percer, Garrett Percer, Hudson Percer and Wesley Percer; one great-grandchild, Kashton Percer. She was a strong, compassionate Christian who never met a stranger. She witnessed and prayed with, and for many at the counter of Millington Cleaners. She and her husband Bobbie purchased the cleaners in 1969 that was previously owned by her parents since 1946. She managed and worked there for 50-plus years. Her stories and conversations were loved by all. In addition to her work at the cleaners, she was a talented seamstress, artist, and created beautiful and delicious cakes (including wedding cakes for her three children), catered events and fed family and friends while gathering or in times of need. She taught Sunday school for more than 50 years, initially with children. Thereafter, she taught adult ladies Sunday School. She was a selfless individual that always put others before herself. She truly had a servant’s heart, and she loved the Lord, her family, and people. Her faith and her family were the center of her life.The family received friends Jan. 30 at First Baptist Church Millington. The family received friends Jan. 31 until the service at First Baptist Church Millington. Interment followed in Memphis Memory Gardens. The family asks any memorials be made to the First Baptist Church – Harvest Fund. Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel had charge. 

ROBBIE SUE PATTERSON RHODES

Robbie Sue Patterson Rhodes, 79, of Memphis, went to her heavenly home January 23, 2022. Funeral services for Robbie Sue Rhodes was Jan. 28 at Grace Chapel Primitive Baptist Church. Brother Zack Guess and Isaac Guess will be officiating. She was laid to rest at Gadsden Cemetery directly after the funeral service. Sue was born July 13, 1942 to the late William Robert Patterson and Annie Ruth Case Patterson of Gadsden. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Regie Rhodes and daughters Sharon Rhodes and Linda Rhodes. Sue is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Monna Jenkins and brother in law, RC Jenkins. Sue was a proud member of Grace Chapel Primitive Baptist Church in Memphis for more than 40 years. She worked at St. Francis Hospital ± Park for many years until she retired. Sue was a creative and extremely talented artist. She enjoyed crafting, scrapbooking, drawing and cross stitching. She was a wonderful cook and loved her coffee. For Sue’s entire life, she has been a dedicated Christian, a loving wife and mother, a faithful and loyal friend, and a wonderful blessing to all. This precious, Godly woman, who is now rejoicing with Jesus, will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Grace Chapel Primitive Baptist Church 816 Berclair Memphis, TN or Dawson Springs Primitive Baptist Church 101 E Walnut Street Dawson Springs, KY 42408. 

GERRY LEE SANDERS

Gerry Lee Sanders, 73, passed away on January 21, 2022. After many ups and downs in his years-long battle with cancer, Mr. Gerry is at peace in the comfort of the Kingdom of Heaven. Mr. Gerry had a career with the U. S. government spanning 20-plus years, serving in the United States Air Force, Vietnam, the Reserves, and working as a firefighter for the Millington base. When he wasn’t working, he could always be found outside.  Whether he was out hunting, in the yard fishing his favorite spot, or tending to his beautiful flowers and vegetables, he loved to be outdoors. The only thing Mr. Gerry treasured more than his gardens was his family, and spending time with them. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Sanders; two sons, Tim (Kim) Sanders and Terry (Laura) Sanders; one step-daughter, Jennifer (Shane) Geiser; two aunts; one uncle; seven grandchildren, Cameron, Gerran, Hayden, Trent, Kelsie, Josh, and Caleb; three great-grandchildren, and a host of other family members and friends. Funeral services for Gerry Sanders were held  Jan. 25, at the Covington Funeral Home chapel. Interment with military honors took place in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery.

BEVERLY ANN REED SHERRILL 

Beverly Ann Reed Sherrill, 73, went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on January 17, 2022. Beverly was a graduate of Millington Central. A private graveside service was held. Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel had charge. 

MARY O. SMITH

Mary O. Smith of Brighton, 75, left her earthly home and entered her heavenly home on January 22, 2022. The family received friends Jan. 29. A funeral service followed immediately all at Munford Funeral Home – Munford Chapel. Interment was in Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery.

JOHN FRANKLIN SIRON

John Franklin Siron, 87, passed away January 20, 2022. He was retired from the United States Navy and was retired from X Ray Maintenance with Methodist North Hospital. John Siron was a family man who loved his wife dearly. He enjoyed days out on the golf course and cheering the Memphis Tigers. The family received friends Feb.2 at Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel. Funeral services was at Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel with interment at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Marie Siron of Atoka, TN; children, Catherine Miller (Robert) of Atoka, Dirk Siron of Huntsville, Ala., Brenda Siron of Medford, Ore., Teresa Weeks (William) of San Tan Valley, Ariz.; grandchildren, Christine Lundy (Curtis) of Arlington, Holly Keller of Atoka, Robert Miller (Tammy) of Atoka, Joshua Siron of Shreveport, La., Jonathon Siron of Shreveport, Jessica Siron of Shreveport, Tracy Land of Medford, Ore., Ezekiel Land of Jackson; 11 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org/donate.

WAYNE TURNER

Wayne Turner, age 78, of Munford, passed away at home on January 26, 2022.  Mr. Turner was a retired chemical mixer with DuPont Chemical, a veteran of the United States Navy, and was proud of his service to his country.  He attended Restoration Church in Munford, and loved the outdoors and hunting. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Kathryn “Sissy” Turner; two daughters, Debra (Steve) Turner Scruggs and Donna (Jeff) Turner Crenshaw; two sons, Rodney Turner and Jamie Turner; nine grandchildren, Zakkery Turner, Tyler Catterton, Ethan Quinley, James Turner, Miles Turner, Lauren Scruggs Ward, Tanner Turner, Devon Turner, and Savanah Hancock; 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Joshua Scruggs, his parents, and other close family members. The family received friends on Jan. 29 at Covington Funeral Home. 

MARTHA JEAN ‘JEANNNIE’  WILDER 

Martha Jean “Jeannie” Wilder, 90, was born in Memphis, went to live with the Lord on January 17, 2022. A graveside service was held Jan. 23 at West Union Cemetery in Millington. The family requests any memorials be made to West Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church or to West Union Cemetery. Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel had charge.
