GINA WILLIAMS JORDAN
Gina Williams Jordan, 56, of Millington, formerly of Bolivar, departed this life Monday, January 4, 2021 at her home. She was born July 10, 1964, in Fayette County, the daughter of Pat Bruce Jordan of Middleton and the late Billy Wayne Williams. She was a 1982 graduate of Bolivar Central High School and received her Master’s in Nursing, working at Bolivar Central High School with their HOSA program for about 15 years, with Baptist East Hospital, and most recently was the HOSA instructor at Millington Central High School. She enjoyed cross-stitching, watching independent films at the Ridgeway, reading, especially Jane Austen novels, Broadway musicals, and all holidays, particularly Halloween and Christmas. A well known “Jeopardy Pro”, she received her greatest fulfillment from being around her grandchildren, whom she dearly loved, and was referred to as “softball team GiGi”. Ms. Jordan was a Christian in faith. In addition to her mother, survivors include three daughters, Juliana Baker (Patrick) of Brighton, Lara Cate Young (Phillip) and Mica Charlotte Jordan (Joshua Cannon), all of Memphis; two sisters, DeLaine Ledford of Middleton and Kim Fox of Kansas City, MO; a brother, Patrick Jordan of Grand Valley Lakes; two half brothers, Benjamin Williams of West Virginia and Michael Williams of Nova Scotia, Canada; and three grandchildren, Malin and Alice Baker and Monroe Young. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Monroe Jordan. Memorial contributions in her name may be sent to the HOSA departments at Bolivar Central High School or Millington Central High School.
JAMES RAY ‘JIM’ MELTON
James Ray ‘Jim’ Melton, 69, of Kentucky and Tennessee, passed away on December 30, 2020. There was be a Celebration of Life service in honor of Jim at His House Ministries in Mayfield, Ky., on January 2, 2021. There was also a visitation at Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel in Millington, on Jan. 4. Funeral and graveside services followed at Helen Crigger Cemetery in Munford.
JERRY MONROE
Jerry Monroe, a retired 1st class Chief Petty Officer Jerry Alonzo Monroe, Sr. passed away January 3, 2021. Those that knew him knew he was a “Gentle Giant” who never met a stranger. With jokes aplenty on hand, Jerry was friendly, flirty, and a hard worker. Many knew him as Big Jerry, Big Daddy, or Tiny. He is preceded by his brother Ronnie, parents Cora and Marcus Monroe, two of his three wives, not to mention his grandparents plus many Aunts and Uncles. Jerry leaves to stand in his shadow his five children, Paula Singh of Fresno Calif., Christina Monroe of Coffeen Ill., Jerry Monroe Jr of Witt, Ill., Kenny Monroe of Millington, and the baby Cameo J. Monroe of Memphis, his two younger sisters Pam Campbell of Freeport, Texas and Cindy Ramdohr of Freeport plus his many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Whew! He served our military, the United States Navy, with pride and dignity. He served 22 years with the Navy, taking him across the Pacific on many adventures and stationed between California, Texas, Virginia, and Tennessee, where he eventually retired. While overseas, Jerry witnessed the Apollos’ recovery and earned his status of becoming the Son & Nephew of the Shell Beach ceremonies crossing the equator. He was a Navy aircraft mechanic by day and one of the best bartenders you’d meet by night. His “side job” as a jokester with no shortage of stories to tell, jokes to bring, or antics to perform. He was a New Year’s Eve baby who dressed as Baby New Year in a giant diaper, bib, bonnet, and large baby bottle simply for the joy of it. Nothing like a 6’9″ baby new year. Jerry enjoyed his time as a TOPS member (Taking Off Pounds Sensibility), Senior exercise group, and the VFW. The dad of five and friend of everybody once told his eldest that his proudest moment was taking out a crew of young boys “Skittles” and bringing back men with no significant mishaps. The family received friends on Jan. 8 at Munford Funeral Home – Munford Chapel until the service. Interment followed at Helen Crigger Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks you to donate to the VFW or any other organization supporting Veterans.
DONTE’ ROBINSON
Donte’ Robinson, 47, of Millington, passed away on December 30, 2020 in Memphis at Methodist Alliance Hospice Residence. There was a walk-through viewing on January 10, 2021 at Jefferson Mortuary Chapel, in Millington. Internment took place on Jan. 11 at Pleasant Rest Memorial Gardens in Millington. Jefferson Mortuary had charge.

Norma Jean Shanklin, 88, of Munford, passed away on December 26, 2020. The family ask that the immediate family only attends the graveside service due to COVID. Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home had charge.
BOBBIE DAVIS SNEED
Bobbie Davis Sneed, 80, of Millington, passed away on January 1, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital, Bartlett. There was a walk-through viewing Jan. 8 at Jefferson Mortuary Chapel in Millington. A walk-through viewing for Mrs. Sneed was held Jan. 9 with a private (family only) memorial service at Friendship United Methodist Church in Millington. Internment followed at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery in Millington. Jefferson Mortuary, Inc. had charge.
PATRICIA & THOMAS WARREN
Patricia Ann Warren 80, and Thomas Chester Warren 82, of Millington, passed away several days apart. Patricia and Thomas were married 62 and half years and both were dedicated servants of the Lord and at First United Pentecostal Church Millington. Patricia served as the church secretary and Thomas as a deacon and trustee. Thomas was retired from BP Gas and he loved to sing and was a member of a quartet. They both loved their family very much. They are survived by their daughter, Deborah Warren Holley (Robert “Bo”); three grandchildren, Tabitha Silveria (Joe) Brittany Williams (Patrick) and Kelsey Walczak, B.J. Holley (Stacey) and Brandon Holley; four great-grandchildren, Kayleigh and Hayden deMedeiros, Tucker and Brayden Herrera; and bonus grandchildren, Colin and Brody Williams and James Silveria. The family received friends January 9, 2021 until the service at First United Pentecostal Church in Millington. Interment was in Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery.
