CHARLIE MAE CHRISTOPHER
Charlie Mae Christopher, 82, of Millington, passed away January 15, 2021 at her residence. There was a walk through viewing for Mrs. Christopher Jan. 22 at Jefferson Mortuary, Inc., in Millington.  An additional viewing took place on Jan. 23 with a private memorial service for family at Friendship United Methodist Church. Interment took place on Feb. 11 at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Memphis. Jefferson Mortuary, Inc. had charge.

MAMIE NAOMI JOLLY FORBES
Mamie Naomi Jolly Forbes passed away January 13, 2021. She was born and raised in Tipton County. Service was held Jan. 18 at Memorial Gardens in Bartlett. Munford Funeral Home had charge.

RAYMOND WOODROW HAMMONTREE
Raymond Woodrow Hammontree, 84, of Munford, walked into the arms of The Father January 17, 2021 following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Munford Funeral Home had charge.

THOMAS EDWARD HARDY
Thomas Edward Hardy, 71, of Atoka, passed away at Methodist North Hospital on January 18, 2021. Service was held Jan. 23 at Munford Chapel in Munford. Munford Funeral Home had charge. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

ARTHUR ALPHOUSE LAVALLE
Arthur Alphouse Lavalle, 85, of Millington, passed away January 8, 2021. Graveside services were held Jan. 27 at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery in Millington. Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home had charge.

CHARLOTTE JANE NIELSEN
Charlotte Jane Nielsen, 77, of Palm Harbor, Fla., transitioned to her Heavenly Home in the early morning hours of January 7, 2021 at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital Newport Richey, Fla. She was predeceased by her husband Ralph Nielsen parents Amos Tucker, Dorothy Tucker, and brother Wallace Tucker. Charlotte was born in New Hampton, Iowa on May 3, 1943. She is survived by her sister Jean Jungkans of Millington as well as several nieces and nephews. Charlotte worked as a registered nurse for more than 50 years in Minnesota, California and Florida. Her friends and family will remember her as a kind, sweet nurse that always helped others Jeff Jungkans honored Charlotte’s final wish. She wanted to be cremated and her ashes sprinkled over the lake at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens in Palm Harbor. She will rest in peace with her husband Ralph Nielsen. Ralph passed in 2015. Due to COVID-19 a memorial service will be held at a later date.

MARIE STRICKLAND
Marie Strickland, 81, of Munford, passed away January 18, 2021 at Baptist Hospital – Tipton surrounded by her family. The family received friends at Munford Funeral Home – Munford Chapel until the service on Jan. 22. Interment followed at Helen Crigger Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Munford Funeral Home-Munford Chapel.

ROBERT DONALD ‘BODDY DON’ TIMBS
Robert Donald (Bobby Don) Timbs, 78, was a retired Quality Control Inspector for Aerostructures/Triumph Group in Nashville, went to be with Jesus on January 17, 2021. Funeral service was conducted at First Baptist Church Millington on Jan. 22. The family received friends until service time at Munford Funeral Home, Millington Chapel had charge.

SHARON LYNNE VANDIVEER
Sharon Lynne Vandiveer (née Morris), 65,of Brighton, died peacefully at home on January 2, 2021. A private family service will later be held this month in Brighton. A Celebration of Life with family in Florida will be scheduled for later in the summer.In lieu of flowers, Sharon would want you to adopt an animal in need of a home, preferably many of them! David Weaver, 89, of Drummonds, passed away January 9, 2021 at Methodist North Hospital in Memphis. There was a walk through viewing for Mr. Weaver on Jan. 16 with a private memorial service for immediate family only all at Jefferson Mortuary, Inc., in Millington. Interment followed at St. Mathews Cemetery, in Millington. Jefferson Mortuary, Inc. had charge.

BOBBY WAYNE WOODS
Bobby Wayne Woods, 54, of Drummonds passed away January 3, 2021. Services were held Jan. 17 at the Millington Funeral Home in Millington with internment at St. John Cemetery in Millington.

MATTIE PEARL WILLIS
Mattie Pearl Willis, 75, of Millington, passed away on January 5, 2021 at her residence. There was a walk-through viewing Jan. 16 with a memorial service at Holy Temple Missionary Baptist Church, in Memphis. Interment followed at Holy Temple Cemetery in Brighton. Jefferson Mortuary had charge.
