Mary Ann Wylie Blackmon, 90, of Brighton, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born on July 7th, 1935, in Brighton, to Catherine and L.G. Wylie. A lifelong faithful citizen of The Town of Brighton. Funeral services were held at on Jan. 23, at Salem ARP Church with interment at Morrison’s Memorial Cemetery in Brighton. Covington Funeral Home had charge.
MARILYN DUNN BOYER
Marilyn Dunn Boyer, 89, passed away January 13, 2026. Marilyn was surrounded by her family when she entered the presence of her heavenly Father. She will always be remembered for her faith, her devotion, her love, and her strength. Funeral services were held Jan. 17 at West Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Millington. Interment was held in West Union Cemetery in Millington.
LARRY WAYNE CHILCUTT
Larry Wayne Chilcutt, 60, passed away on January 16, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, laughter, and speed. A master of his trade, Larry owned and operated Chil’s Heating Air & Appliance Repair. Munford Funeral Home had charge.
GENE PATRICK OWINGS
Gene Patrick Owings, 71, passed away on January 21, 2026, after a long battle with Leukemia. Gene was born on August 19, 1954, in Corena, California. Gene graduated from Millington Central High School in 1973; after high school he attended Covington Vo-Tech for a machinist’s degree. Gene also served in in the U.S. Army from 1983-1986 in 40th MP Battalion. He worked most of his life as an auto technician. He leaves behind his mother, Fannie Marie Owings; brothers, Benny and Jeffrey Owings; children, Patrick Owings and Michelle Smith; and 6 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Kerrville Presbyterian Church. Interment will be at Memphis Memorial Gardens in Bartlett.

Deboria Dianne Wallace-Smith, stepped into heaven on January 12, 2026. The family will receive family and friends on Saturday, Jan. 31 from 10–11 a.m. at the Munford Funeral Home – Millington Chapel. The Celebration of Life service will take place immediately following at 11 am. Munford Funeral Home has charge.

Taylor Landon Wiggins, 25, of Munford, passed away on January 16, 2026, after losing his battle with deep depression. The family received friends on Jan. 26, at Munford Funeral Home – Munford Chapel until the memorial service.
