Mrs. Margaret Olivia Cody, 85, of Millington, passed away January 21, 2020 at Saint Francis Hospital Bartlett. Her visitation will be Friday, Jan. 31 from 5 – 8 p.m. at Jefferson Mortuary, Inc., 7788 Church Street, Millington. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, Feb. 1 at Fullview Baptist Church, 7090 Memphis Arlington Road, Bartlett TN 38135 at 11 a.m. Interment will be Tuesday, Feb. 4 at 10:15 at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Road, Memphis, Tennessee. Jefferson Mortuary, Inc. had charge.

Kelley Earl Haley, 65 of Millington passed away January 21, 2020. The family received friends until the memorial service Jan. 26 at Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel. Memorials may be made to Memphis Animal Shelter. Munford Funeral Home had charge.

Dr. Lee Elliott Mason, 81, of Drummonds, passed away January 15, 2020 at his residence. His funeral service took place Jan. 20 at St. Mark M.B. Church, 3220 Wilkinsville Road, in Drummonds. Interment followed at St. Mark Cemetery. Jefferson Mortuary, Inc. had charge.

Larry Joe Silvey, 79, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 in Millington, Tennessee. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who made it his life’s mission to introduce people to Christ through unending service and selfless generosity.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Susan; his son, Larry Dean Silvey; his two daughters, Jackie McCall (Mark) and Jennifer Patrick (Hays); six loving grandchildren: Cole, Jake, Madison, Zoe, Mackenzie, and Josie; brothers, Darrell Silvey (Paulette), Duane Silvey (Edie); and his many nieces and nephews.
Larry Silvey’s adventurous and brave spirit knew no bounds. His work ethic was second to none. His greatest joy was serving the Lord by helping those in need.
Though the magnitude of his personal achievements and community involvement cannot be adequately summarized, he will be best remembered as a Navy veteran, home builder, mission leader, Gideon, deacon, farmer, cattle rancher, and marble champion. To his church, he was a leader; to his community, he was a giver; to his family, he was a hero; and to his Lord, he was a good and faithful servant.
Above all, Larry Silvey’s story is a testament to the changing power of God, and the bountiful life He gives to all who believe in and look toward Him.
The family received friends Jan. 25 at First Baptist Church located 5010 West Union Road in Millington, until the service. Interment followed in Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery with Navy funeral honors.
