JANET ANN BULLOCK

Janet Ann Bullock, 67, of Quito, departed to be with her Lord on December 9, 2025. The family received friends on Dec. 16, at the Millington Chapel until the service. Interment followed in Quito Memorial Cemetery. Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel had charge.

LARRY KENDALL COUNCE

Larry Kendall Counce, 75, of Brighton, departed this life at home on December 4, 2025. A celebration of Larry’s remarkable life will be held on January 3, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 491 Hinton Road, Counce, TN 38326. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor a man whose legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Larry’s memory to the Horse Creek Wildlife Sanctuary, located at 13780 Highway 69, Savannah, TN 38372.

JOE LOUIS CURRY

Joe Louis Curry, 89, of Millington, passed away on November 30, 2025 at his residence. There was a visitation for Mr. Curry on Dec. 13 with funeral service at Historical First Baptist Church, in Millington. Interment followed at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery, in Millington. Jefferson Mortuary, Inc. had charge. 

BERNICE GRISHAM

Bernice Grisham, 92, of Atoka, passed away on December 5, 2025 at Methodist Hospital North in Memphis. Funeral services were held on Dec. 11 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery.  The family received friends prior to the service at the Covington Funeral Home.  

LORI LANDRUM SMITH

Lori Landrum Smith, 61, of Brighton, passed away on December 7, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Ms. Smith was a former clerk with the U. S. Post Office in Atoka. Cremation services were under the direction of Covington Funeral Home and no services were planned.  

GEORGE ROBERT SWEENEY

George Robert Sweeney, 86, born February 21, 1939, in Memphis, passed away on December 9, 2025, in Memphis. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Sweeney. He is survived by his daughters, Cindy Roper (Dave Baker) of Panama City, Fla.; Karen (John) Sumner of Pensacola, Fla.; and Jenny Strevel of Atoka,; his son, Michael Sweeney of Panama City, Fla.; his life partner, Linda Hartman; eleven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Sweeney graduated from Munford High School and proudly served in the United States Air Force. Munford Funeral Home had charge.
