CHARLES ‘BUBBA’ ARLEN BEENE II
Charles “Bubba” Arlen Beene II, 49, was born January 8, 1972 and passed away June 27, 2021. He leaves behind his faithful wife Biljana, who was the joy of his life. He also leaves three children; Savo “Pookie” Beene, Victoria “Tori Ray” (Beene) Stumph, and Charles “Little Bubba” Beene; three grandchildren; Marlee, Kosta Ray and Maverick; mother and father in-law, Jasminka and Savo Cvetanoski; brother-in-law, Nenad Cvetanoski; and his siblings, Judy (Howell) White, Gina (Beene) Moore and Ricardo Beene; seven nephews, two nieces, two great-nieces and two great-nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Carolyn (Parker) Beene of Millington, and his brothers Donald Howell and David Howell. Charles (Bubba) was a 1990 graduate of Millington Central High School. He joined the Navy soon after graduation and remained in active service until 2001. After 10 years with the Navy, he continued working with the Navy through the Department of Defense for the next 20 years holding many certifications in IT and cyber security. Charles was a life-long, extremely skilled pool shark and he made sure to pass the skill on to his three children. He was a Cryptocurrency miner and very involved in the Crypto world, even hosting a YouTube channel (SavageMine) teaching others how to mine. He also enjoyed going to the gym, playing racquetball and riding his motorcycle. He was well loved by his family and friends and will be missed tremendously.A Memorial Service was held on July 17 in the Chapel of Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin, in Jacksonville, Fla.In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made in memory of Charles to the Isaiah 117 House, Duval County, Florida. BERNICE DELASHMIT CRAIG
Bernice Delashmit Craig, 92, passed away July 8, 2021. Graveside service was in Helen Crigger Cemetery on July 13. Munford Funeral Home-Munford Chapel had charge.

WALKER BOYD FITE
Walker Boyd Fite, 94, of Atoka, passed away July 15, 2021. Mr. Fite was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Bowers Fite; parents, Jack V. and Edith Delashmit Fite; siblings, Larry Fite, Walter Fite, Robert Fite, Bill Fite, Russell Fite, Earl Fite, Pat Fite, Kate Banks and Mary Vance Hill. He is survived by his children, Dr. John Timothy Fite (Rosemary) and Todd Vincent Fite (Melanie); step-children, Sandra Corbett (Craig) and Danny Burlison (Joanie); eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Wilma France; special companion for many years, Sue Hendricks of Mason; caregivers, Carol Hayes, Terri Groves and Leola Biles. Walker Boyd Fite was a retired Vice President of Production Credit Association, former school board member of the Tipton County Board of Education and was ordained as an elder in the Munford Presbyterian Church in 1971. He was a WWII veteran and served in the Philippines in the U.S. Army, attended Memphis State University and was an avid outdoorsman and sports enthusiast. The family received friends July 17 until the service at Salem ARP Church. Interment followed in Helen Crigger Cemetery. The family asks memorials be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or charity of the donor’s choice. Munford Funeral Home Munford Chapel had charge.

VIOLA MAE KENT
Viola Mae Kent, 70, of Brighton, passed away July 13, 2021. The family received friends on July 17, at Munford Funeral Home-Munford. Funeral service followed immediately. Munford Funeral Home Munford Chapel had charge.

CATHERINE LEE BRASHIER FREEMAN PANNELL
Catherine Lee Brashier Freeman Pannell, 80, of Lucy, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on July 10, 2021 at Methodist Alliance Hospice Residence in Memphis. Funeral arrangements were made through Northridge/Woodhaven Funeral Home in Millington. Visitation was July 15 and service was on July 16. Northridge Woodhaven had charge.

MARTIN D. RUSSELL
Martin  D. Russell, 70, of Millington, passed away peacefully at his home on July 6, 2021. Visitation was held July 17 at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home and funeral service was held there also. Northridge Woodhaven had charge.

JOHNNIE B. THOMPSON
Johnnie B. Thompson, 79, of Atoka passed away July 7, 2021. Johnnie B was employed and retired from the Millington Naval Base for 30 years, Shelby County School System (Barret Chapel) for 13 years and Walmart Company for six years. In his leisure time he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, pruning his yard and watching his western movies. He loved spending his time with Family and Friends. Visitation was held July 16 at the Millington Funeral Home, Inc., and the funeral service was held July 17 at St. John Missionary Baptist Church. Interment was held at St. John Cemetery. Millington Funeral Home had charge.
