COLT ADKINS
Colt Adkins, 2-month-old, passed away July 14, 2021. He is survived by his mother, Leslie Reeves; father, Reese Adkins; sisters, Trinity Reign of N.M., Delilah Mae of Munford, and Harleen Lynn of Munford; brothers, Ryan Aiden of Munford, and Xander James of Munford. The family received friends July 21 until the service at the Munford Chapel. Munford Funeral Home Munford Chapel had charge.

ELIZABETH ANNETTE ‘NETTIE’ BRIGANCE
Elizabeth Annette “Nettie” Brigance, 60, passed away peacefully over the night of July 15, 2021. Family and friends were welcomed to a visitation and service July 20 at the Millington Chapel of the Munford Funeral Home. Interment occurred privately later in the week at the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.

WALKER BOYD FITE
Walker Boyd Fite, 94, of Atoka, passed away July 15, 2021. Mr. Fite was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Bowers Fite; parents, Jack V. and Edith Delashmit Fite; siblings, Larry Fite, Walter Fite, Robert Fite, Bill Fite, Russell Fite, Earl Fite, Pat Fite, Kate Banks and Mary Vance Hill. He is survived by his children, Dr. John Timothy Fite (Rosemary) and Todd Vincent Fite (Melanie); step-children, Sandra Corbett (Craig) and Danny Burlison (Joanie); eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Wilma France; special companion for many years, Sue Hendricks of Mason; caregivers, Carol Hayes, Terri Groves and Leola Biles. Walker Boyd Fite was a retired Vice President of Production Credit Association, former school board member of the Tipton County Board of Education and was ordained as an elder in the Munford Presbyterian Church in 1971. He was a WWII veteran and served in the Philippines in the U.S. Army, attended Memphis State University and was an avid outdoorsman and sports enthusiast. The family received friends July 17 until the service at Salem ARP Church. Interment followed in Helen Crigger Cemetery. The family asks memorials be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or charity of the donor’s choice. Munford Funeral Home Munford Chapel had charge.

HOLLIS E. FORBUS
Hollis E. Forbus, 83, of Millington, passed away July 14, 2021. He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane C. Neswoog Forbus; son, Scott; siblings Helen, Ray, Delburt and James. He was a Dad to Teri, Traci, Beau, Rusti and Scott; numerous grands, great-grands, nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. Hollis was proud to serve his country in the Navy for 20 years; was a manager for MWR at the Naval Air Station Millington; and worked at Walmart. He loved spending time with his friends at Shake Rag and Taco Tuesday. He was known for his boisterous comments and speaking his own kind of Spanish language. In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials be made to the ASPCA or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. “RIP Gene – you were loved.” Services are being planned for inurnment in West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel had charge.

VIOLA MAE KENT
Viola Mae Kent, 70, of Brighton, passed away July 13, 2021. The family received friends on July 17 at Munford Funeral Home-Munford. Funeral service followed immediately. Munford Funeral Home Munford Chapel had chare.

BETTY JO McOWEN
Betty Jo McOwen, 92, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2021. Services were held at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery in Millington on July 19. Northridge Woodhaven had charge.

IMA JEAN MORRIS
Ima Jean Morris, 74, passed away July 14, 2021. Funeral service was held July 17 at Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Covington with interment at Garden of Everlasting Life in Covington. Millington Funeral Home, Inc., had charge.

PHYLLIS ROSJUAN GWYN OKPOR
Phyllis Rosjuan Gwyn Okpor, of Millington, passed away Monday, July 12, 2021 at Methodist Le Bonheur Hospital Germantown. There was a viewing for Ms. Okpor on July 17 at Jefferson Mortuary, Inc., in Millington. Interment followed at Pleasant Rest Memorial Gardens of Millington. Jefferson Mortuary, Inc. had charge.

JAMES W. ‘ROPE’ ROBISON
James W. “Rope” Robison, 88, of Millington, passed away July 21, 2021. The family received friends July 24 at the Millington Chapel until the service. Interment followed in West Union Cemetery. Mr. Robison was a millwright, veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the West Tennessee Fur Takers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jean Robison; parents, Ranell and Flossie Robison; sisters, Elizabeth Dillon and Louis Smith; brother, Kinney Robison. He is survived by his sons, Rodney D. Robison (Teresa) of Wilkinsville and Allen Robison (Janet) of Atlanta; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family asks memorials be made to the National Wild Turkey Foundation. Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel had charge.

JOHNNIE A. SNEED
Johnnie A. Sneed, 61, of Munford, passed away on July 14, 2021 at Methodist Hospital North in Memphis. There was a walk-through viewing for Mr. Sneed July 22 at Jefferson Mortuary, Inc., in Millington. Interment followed at Mt Tipton Cemetery in Brighton. Jefferson Mortuary, Inc., had charge.

LOUISE TINSLEY
Louise Tinsley, 79, passed away July 14, 2021. Visitation was held July 24 at Millington Funeral Home with the funeral service following. Interment was held in Cotton Cemetery in Covington. Millington Funeral Home had charge.
