John Robert Cox, 70, of Millington, passed away May 25, 2021. Mr. Cox was a Vietnam War veteran and was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Kay Cox. He is survived by his daughters, Haley (Tony) Ward of Atoka, and Rachel (Derek) Marsh of Millington; son, Alex (Danielle) Cox of Millington; nine grandchildren, Marie Cox, Abby Cox, Lori Cox, Brayden Marsh, Jackson Marsh, Clayton Ward, Bailey Ward, Skyler Ward and Wesley Ward. The family received friends June 2 at the Millington Chapel until the memorial service. Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel had charge.
PAUL G. CURLIN
Paul G. Curlin, 90, of Millington, passed away June 2, 2021. Mr. Curlin was retired from DuPont after 39 and half years, served in the Korean War, was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Lion’s Club, the Jaycees, Goat Days committee and was past member on the Planning Commission for the city of Millington. He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Jean Curlin and his parents, Mary Thelma (Loft) Curlin and Paul Edd Curlin. He is survived by his daughter, Paula Curlin (Joe) Hillman of Lucy; sisters, Mary Zane Delancey of Hot springs Village, Ark., Peggy Christal of Memphis, and Nancy Estes of Chattanooga. The family received friends June 5 with a service Sunday, all at the Millington Chapel. Interment followed in Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery. The family asks memorials be made to First United Methodist Church Millington, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (StJude.org) or the Leukemia Foundation (donate.lls.org). Anne Marie Hood, 82, of Atoka, as beautiful as she was, died May 26, 2021 in her daughter’s home surrounded by loved ones. Visitation was held on June 1 at Munford Funeral Home (Munford Chapel), in Munford. Funeral service was held following visitation. Burial was at Helen Crigger Cemetery beside River of Life Church, in Munford.
