JOHN EDWARD BECKWITH
John Edward Beckwith, 86, of Millington, passed away June 13, 2020. Mr. Beckwith was born in Rio Grande, Texas to James Franklin and Bessie E. Rolfe Beckwith. He leaves behind two sisters, Shirley Beckwith of Austin, Texas, and Evelyn Jean Woody (Bobby) of North Glen, Colo.. After his retirement from 22 years of service with the United States Air Force, he married Linda C. Lambert. They had three children together: Christie Grupe of Millington; Stacy Beckwith of Leander, Texas; and Franklin Beckwith (Shamron) of Millington. He also leaves two nephews, four grandsons, and his loving Boston Barkley T. Visitation was held June 18, with a graveside service. All services were held at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home and Cemetery.

WILLIAM D. BISHOP
William D. Bishop, 57, an auto detailer of Millington, passed away June 20, 2020. The family received friends June 24 until the service at the Millington Chapel. Interment followed in Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery. Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel had charge.

HELEN KATHERINE ‘KAY’ FAST
Helen Katherine “Kay” Fast, went to meet her Lord and Savior on June 18, 2020. She passed away peacefully in her sleep. The family will receive friends Thursday (June 25) from 11 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Millington. Interment in West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. LARRY KEITH JENKINS
Larry Keith Jenkins, 53, of Drummonds, passed away June 13, 2020. The family received friends for visitation at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home on June 23 with a memorial service. Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home had charge.

CLIFFORD ELDRED McWHORTER
Rev. Clifford Eldred McWhorter, 94, formerly of Millington, passed away on June 15, 2020, at The King’s Daughters & Sons Home in Bartlett. He was born November 19, 1925 in Birmingham, AL, theson of Clifford and Lou Ouida McWhorter. He attended UC Berkeley, Yale, and finished seminary at Sewanee. Clifford taught elementary school briefly and served in the Army for one year in 1949. In themid 50’s Clifford was ordained as an Episcopal Priest and served the Church for over 50 years. He met Dorothy Van Sickler while she was in nursing school and married in 1957 at Calvary Episcopal Church in Fletcher, NC. In the 1960’s Clifford fought for Civil Rights and often acted as a Liaison, bridging the gap between communities. When Clifford and Dorothy moved to Millington, he became the Rector at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, where he remained until retirement. He later joined St. John Orthodox Church where he cherished his Eastern Orthodox faith and his church Family. He loved his Scottish heritage and was a loyal member of the Memphis Scottish Society. Clifford is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; his sister Bettilou and brother Robert. He is survived by two sons, Marshall McWhorter (Kathryn) of Arlington, and Blake McWhorter (Kerry) of North Port, Fla.; his sisters-inlaw,Kathleen McWhorter of Daphne, Ala.; Joy Hughes of Toronto, Canada; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. The family received friends June 20 with a service, both at St. John Orthodox Church. Interment will be June 30, 2020 at 10:15 a.m. in West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. John Orthodox Church at 1663 Tutwiler Avenue, Memphis, TN 38107. Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel had charge.
