John M. Rutter, III, 89, passed away on May 24, 2026. Mr. Rutter was retired from the US Navy and served multiple tours in Vietnam. He is survived by his wife, Patricia K. Rutter; daughter, Kristen K. Hines (Tony) of Millington, TN; son, John Myron Rutter, IV (Katie) of Millington, TN; three grandchildren, Angeleena Rutter, Isla Rutter and John Max Rutter, V. He was preceded in death by his parents, Inga Brinkmeyer and John Rutter, Jr. A graveside service was held on June 4 at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Munford Funeral Home had charge.
