Pearl Ermine Boiling, 102, of Munford, passed away March 8, 2022. The family received friends March 13, 2022, until the service. Interment followed in the Helen Crigger Cemetery. Mrs. Boiling retired from Memphis Grain. She moved her whole family to Memphis where she supported them and put them all through school. She is preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Roy Boling. She is survived by her son, Neil Boling, and two sisters, Evelyn June Edmondson and Ruth Bruhns. Munford Funeral Home Munford Chapel had charge.

Henry “Uncle Son” Clifton Bolton, 96, of Millington, passed away February 28, 2022 at Methodist Hospital North in Memphis. There was visitation for Mr. Bolton on March 6 with a memorial service at Union Hill M.B. Church, in Munford. Interment took place on March 9 at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, in Memphis. Cynthia Ann Motes, 53, of Munford, transitioned to her heavenly home on March 2, 2022, after a long battle with cancer. She was 53 years old. Memorial services were held March 10 at Munford Funeral Home in Munford and officiated by Pastor Larry Howard. Munford Funeral Home had charge.

Booker Thomas Saddler, 85, of Millington, passed away March 7, 2022 at St Francis Hospital, Bartlett. There was a memorial service for Mr. Saddler March 15 at Living Word Fellowship Church, in Memphis. Jefferson Mortuary, Inc. had charge.
CARROLL CLYDE ‘C.C.’ SIMMONS
The family of Carroll Clyde Simmons, Jr., lovingly referred to as C.C. Simmons, announced with heavy hearts that he has gone to be with the Lord on March 3, 2022. C.C. was a loving husband of 62 years, an amazing father, and a fantastic Pawpaw. If you ever had the pleasure to meet him, you were greeted with a hug and concluded with a “God bless you.” He devoted his life to his country serving 20 years in the Navy and he retired in Millington as a Chief Petty Officer in 1975. Even though he retired, he could not stay home, he used his training and continued to work as a machinist. He then continued to serve the community with his knowledge of guns and all things handy at Jim’s Guns and Junk and Haddad’s. C.C. loved the Lord and the church and served as a deacon at Beaver Baptist Church for 10 years. If he wasn’t at church, he was in the woods hunting (a second favorite pastime), or at his computer desk playing solitaire. He leaves behind one son, Terry Simmons, of Munford, and two daughters, Bobbie Jo (Johnny) Robertson of Munford and Missy Perez of Munford. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his precious bride, Barbara Simmons, his daughter, Debbie Covert. His faith is now sight, praise to God, and may He receive the glory through his passing.
CANDICE MARIE CHEELY JOHNSON McDONALD TURNER
Candice Marie Cheely Johnson McDonald Turner, 70, passed away on March 4, 2022, at Baptist Hospital-Oxford. She was born June 23, 1951, in Creston, Iowa where she lived for 13 years then moved to Grand Island, Neb., Iowa City, Iowa, and Nebraska City, Neb., where she graduated from Nebraska City Senior High School. She attended Blair College in Omaha, Nebraska where she received her dental assistant certification in 1970. She married Lloyd Franklin Turner of Drummonds, August 6, 1981. She worked at Naval Air Station Dental Clinic for 12 years and numerous private dental facilities across Memphis. She loved serving her Lord Jesus where she worked, leading many different facets of ministry at Fellowship Baptist Church-Quito. She was a member of First Baptist Church-Millington. She is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Franklin Turner, parents, Frank and Mavis Johnson of Lubbock, Texas, son, Jerome McDonald, and her sister, Melody Ann Johnson. Candi is survived by her two children, Michelle Marie McDonald of Columbia, and Jason Virgil Turner of Drummonds; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two sisters, Valerie Jane Johnson Kihn, Cynthia Lynn Johnson Snidow, three brothers, Brett Alan Johnson, Todd William Johnson, and John Wayne Johnson. The family received friends on March 12 until the service at First Baptist Church-Millington. Interment was in Poplar Grove Cemetery in Drummonds. Munford Funeral Home Munford Chapel had charge.
