LOTIS HERMAN LOFT

Lotis Herman Loft, 82, of Munford, passed from this life into God’s hands peacefully in his sleep on the morning of May 2, 2021. Visitation was held May 6 at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home in Millington and funeral service was held in the same venue.

LESTER ‘JAKE’ HUMPHREY JR.

Lester “Jake” Humphrey, Jr., 81, of Lobelville passed away April 28, 2021 surrounded by his family. Memorial services were held at noon on May 8 in the chapel of Young Funeral Home, Linden with Military Honors. Young Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Jake was a proud veteran of the United States Navy retiring as Chief Petty Officer. He was born to Lester Jake Humphrey Sr. and Margaret ann Gladhil Humphrey of Iowa. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his “darling” wife, Betty Jo Humphrey and one son, Perry Wayne Whitten. He leaves behind four children, Lisa (Tommy) Modezelewski, Russell (Kristi) Whitten, Kelly (Don) Madill and Zayne Parker (Eddie). Our Grandpa Jake also leaves behind his beloved 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He also leaves Joyce (Leroy) Boyd of Lobelville along with 18 other nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers you may donate in Jake’s name to the Wounded Warrior Project at WoundedWarriorProject.org.  

MATTIE M. McCLELLAND

Mattie M. McClelland, 95, of Brighton passed away May 3, 2021. Funeral service was held May 8 at Greater Shiloh Baptist Church in Brighton. Interment was held May 9 in Garden of Everlasting Life in Covington. 

GEORGE McKINNEY

George McKinney, 22, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021, in Drummonds. The family received friends on May 15, at Munford Funeral Home-Munford. Funeral service followed immediately. Munford Funeral Home-Munford Chapel had charge. 

RAYMOND ‘BUBBA’ WILLIAMS

Raymond “Bubba” Williams, 84, longtime owner of Ray Williams Body Shop and later employed by Massey’s Auto Parts, passed away April 28, 2021. He was the President of the United Methodist Men and served on the Church Council at Temple United Methodist Church. He was a board member (1970’s), a life member (1995) and Hall of Fame inductee (2003/2004) for Meritorious Service for the Memphis Bowling Association, now known as the Memphis Area USBC. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Arden Williams; parents, Raymond and Mattie Williams; sisters, June Johnson and Dora Lee Spencer; and brother, Jerry Williams. He is survived by his daughter, Denise Williams Keen (Todd) of Atoka; brothers, Robert Williams, Edward Williams, Thomas Williams and John Williams; longtime companion, Martha Quesenberry of Millington, and her children and grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials be made to Temple United Methodist Church Men’s Group or the charity of the donor’s choice. The family received friends May 2 and the funeral service was held May 3 at the Millington Chapel. Interment followed in Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery. Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel had charge.
