Glenda Gail Hindman, 76, passed away on April 23, 2026. Family and friends held a celebration of Glenda’s life on April 27 until the memorial service at at Munford Funeral Home, Millington Chapel.
JIMMY RAY MAX
Jimmy Ray Max, 87, passed away at home on April 28, 2026. Mr. Jimmy was a United States Army veteran, where he served as a personnel administation specialist, and later went on to work and retire from Delta Air Lines. Jimmy Max was a Tennessee Vols football fan, guitar player, and avid golfer in his spare time. Mr. Jimmy is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Othella Rice Max, his sister, Donna (Stan) Sheppherd, numerous nieces and nephews, and his church family and friends at Crosspointe Baptist Church where he had been attending for over 25 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Christine Max, and his brother, Darrell “Dale” Max. Graveside services with military honors was held on May 1 at Helen Crigger Cemetery in Munford. AARON ARMOUR MERRITT
Aaron Armour Merritt, 62, of Millington, passed away on April 24, 2026. He was born on October 14, 1963, in Memphis, Tennessee. Aaron lived a life defined by service, family, and a love of the outdoors.
Aaron was born to Ronald and Arelia Merritt and spent part of his childhood traveling due to his father’s navy service before returning to Memphis, where he graduated from Trezevant High School. He later served honorably in the United States Navy before beginning his law enforcement career with the Memphis Police Department on November 11, 1985. After retiring from MPD on July 14, 2015, Aaron continued his public service with the Southwest Tennessee Community College Police Department until his passing. Aaron loved fishing and hunting from an early age, with crappie fishing being one of his greatest passions, above all, he treasured being “Paw Paw” to his grandchildren. Aaron is survived by his mother Arelia Merritt; brother, Alton Merritt; sons; Chase and Dalton Merritt; Fiancée, Phyllis Seaton; stepsons, Zachary Mouser and Jacob McLaughlin; and his beloved grandchildren, Lydia, Abby, Aiden, Addison, Scarlett, Ryder, Jade, Jasper, Maya, and Maleayah. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Merritt, and his wife, Christine Merritt. Aaron will be deeply loved, missed, and remembered. Memorial service was held May 1 at the Munford Funeral Home – Millington Chapel in Millington.

Eunestine Moore, 85 of Atoka, passed away on April 24, 2026 at her residence. There was a viewing for Mrs. Moore on May 2 with her funeral service at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, in Atoka. Interment followed at St. John Community Cemetery, in Atoka. Jefferson Mortuary Inc. had charge.
WILLIAM R. ‘BILL’ NORVELL
William R. “Bill” Norvell, 91, of Millington, husband, father and Papa, passed away on April 28, 2026. Mr. Norvell was the co-owner of Norvell’s Millington Body Works and was preceded in death by his wife, Ivie Jean Norvell. He is survived by two daughters, Sandra Peckham (Mike) and Michelle Rickard (Rick); five grandchildren, Chella Salvatierra (Ruben), Kayla Michalchuk (John), Kelsey Ostenski (Dan), Jackson Rickard (McKenzie), and Joshua Rickard (Maddy); four great-grandchildren; and his “adopted” son, Tom Molder. The family received friends until the service May 1 at Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel. Interment followed in Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital.
ANN ELISE STEINBRINK
Ann Elise Steinbrink, 75, of Millington, passed away surrounded by love on April 23, 2026, in Memphis. She was born in Kansas City, MO, on October 7, 1950, to parents Glen and Lillian Morgan. After graduating from Park Hill High School, Ann began her working career. She married the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Steven Steinbrink in Kansas City, MO, on August 15, 1970, and from that union three wonderful children were created. Ann worked several jobs throughout her life being a military spouse and moving from station to station, she spent many of her later years in life as a homemaker. Some of Ann’s interests included reading, cross stitch needle point, as well as knitting. What she loved the most was spending time with her children and her grandchildren. Ann is preceded in death by her parents. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 55 years, Steven Steinbrink, her children: Jacob Steinbrink (Melissa), Jeremiah Steinbrink (Amy), and Eliza Friskillo, her grandchildren: Iwalani Friskillo, Holden Steinbrink, Kawika Friskillo, Tucker Steinbrink, Hannah Steinbrink, and Leilea Friskillo, as well as her brother Scott Morgan. Ann will forever be in our hearts, and we will miss her more than words can express.
LEWIS EUGENE WARD
Lewis Eugene Ward, 71, retired owner of J & L Mechanical Services passed away on April 25, 2026. The family received friends on April 30 at the Millington Chapel until the service. His daughters remember him saying he could “fix anything but a broken heart” and how much he loved the outdoors – and being in the woods was his sanctuary because that is where he felt God’s presence in the quiet.
