ALVIN LEE CARRUTH
Alvin Lee Carruth, 92, of Millington, went to be with the Lord Jesus November 9, 2020. He was born September 2, 1928 in Jasper, Texas. Married September 29, 1950 to his beloved Peggy Marie (Grice) Carruth, who survives. He served as Combat Infantryman in the 45th Division of the U S Army in the Korean war. Retired from JCP, his cattle and poultry farm near Hector, Arkansas and served Arkansas Gov Mike Huckabee as adviser to Arkansas’ Americans with Disabilities Act compliance. Member of First Baptist Church Millington. He is survived by four children, son Arthur “Buzz” Carruth (Helen) of Jarrell, Texas, son Michael A. Carruth (Samantha) of North Richland Hills, Texas, daughter R. Sue Langford (Jack) of Millington, daughter Stella D. Carruth of Maumelle, Ark., 12 grandchildren, 21 great grand-children, large extended family, and a host of friends. A memorial will be held when the pandemic ends.
JAMES C. ‘JAMIE’ FITE JR.
James C. “Jamie” Fite, Jr., an Off Loader for FedEx, passed away on November 8, 2020 at Methodist University Hospital. He was 61 years of age and attended Crossroads Church of the Nazarene. Jamie leaves his mother, Juanita Fite; a sister, Heather Fite, and a brother, Clint Fite. He was predeceased by his father, James C. Fite, Sr. and his companion of many years, Jodie Cannon. A visitation was held at Munford Funeral Home-Munford Chapel Nov. 12 until the service. Interment followed in Helen Crigger Cemetery in Munford. The family requests memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society.
CHARLIE BRAXTON RANSOM
Charlie Braxton Ransom, 85, of Millington, passed away November 7, 2020 in Detroit. There was a walk through viewing Nov. 15 a memorial service Nov. 16 at Jefferson Mortuary, Inc., in Millington. Interment followed at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery in Millington. Jefferson Mortuary, Inc. had charge.
VICKIE D. RAY
Vickie D. Ray, 62, beloved wife, mother and nana died on November 4, 2020 at her home with her husband by her side after losing her battle with cancer. Vickie’s wish was not to have a formal funeral service, so her life will be celebrated by family in a private manner. In Lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations to be sent to St. Jude.

Gordon Vernon Talley, 93, of Munford, passed away November 8, 2020. The family received friends Nov. 11 until the service at the Munford Chapel. Interment followed in Helen Crigger Cemetery in Munford. Munford Funeral Home Munford Chapel had charge.
