MICHELE CRIDER
Michele Crider, 68, of Millington, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 28, 2020. The family received friends Oct. 31 at the Millington Chapel followed by a graveside service at Helen Crigger Cemetery in Munford. Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel had charge.

JAMES ‘JD’ DAVID DOUGLAS
James “JD” David Douglas, 78, passed away October 24, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett. JD was born on May 22, 1942 in Cedar Grove, TN to Doyle and Virginia Douglas. He served in the Marine Corp from 1960-1964 at the start of the Vietnam War as a crew chief/gunner with Archie’s Angels. He joined the Memphis Police Department in 1965 and retired in 1992 as Commander over the Homicide Division. After retiring, JD started his own private investigation agency; served as technical advisor for movies such as John Grisham’s “The Client”; was an expert witness in several trials including cases under the Supreme Court; coached his kids in softball and baseball; served as president of the Woodstock Saddle Club. He was preceded in death by his father, Doyle; his mother, Virginia; his wife, Peggy; son, Scott; brother, Raymond. He is survived by his sons, Spencer Douglas and Doug Smith (Whitney); daughters, Jere Sawyer, Sadie Jones and Taylor Post; brothers, Dennis (Pat) Douglas and Tony Douglas; sister, Carolyn Flanigan; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. The family received friends Oct 29 with a service Oct. 30 at the Millington Chapel with interment following in Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery. Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel had charge.

GLORIA SMITH
Gloria Smith, 85, passed away at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis on October 22, 2020. The family received friends at Munford Funeral Home-Munford Chapel on Oct. 26. A service was held Oct. 27 at Munford Chapel. Interment was held in West Tennessee Veteran’s Cemetery alongside her husband at a later date. The family requests memorials be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Munford Funeral Home-Munford Chapel had charge.

JEFFERY MAURICE SOMERVILLE
Jeffery Maurice Somerville, 60, of Covington passed away October 18, 2020. Graveside Service was held Oct. 31 at Cotton Cemetery in Covington. Millington Funeral Home had charge.

BRENDA TIEBOUT
Brenda Tiebout, 76, of Cookeville, a Celebration of Life for Brenda Joyce Tiebout was held October 31, 2020 at The River Community Church. Pastor Steve Tiebout officiated. Her family received friends Saturday until service time at the church. Brenda passed away Monday morning October 26, 2020 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born March 14, 1944 in Halls, to the late James E. Nearn and Kathryn Burgett Nearn. Brenda graduated from Millington High School in 1962. Family was always a priority for her. She was a dedicated stay at home mom in raising her children, and she was very active in the lives of her grandchildren. She later worked and eventually retired as a courier at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Brenda was a founding member of the River Community Church. She was generous, kind and thoughtful of others. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially tennis and gardening. She is survived by her daughter, Deanna (John) Numbers of Dayton, Ohio; son, Steve (Melissa) Tiebout of Cookeville; sisters, Janice Bomar of Munford, Shirley (Melvin) Riales of Atoka, TN, Juanita (Wayne) Glover of Munford, Martha Larson of Memphis, and Teresa (Danny) Pugh of Munford; grandchildren, Steven Tiebout, Seth (Olivia) Tiebout, Joy, Lydia, Luke, and Leah Tiebout, Courtney, Sydney, and Joseph Numbers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Barbara Scarbrough and Faye Scarbrough; and brothers, James, Jerry, and Willy Nearn. KIM MAZEROSK WALLS
Kim Mazerosk Walls, 58, of Millington, passed away October 25, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett. There was a walk through viewing for Mr. Walls Oct. 31 with a service at Jefferson Mortuary, Inc., in Millington. Interment followed at Pleasant Rest Memorial Gardens in Millington. Jefferson Mortuary, Inc. had charge.

OPHELIA WESTBROOKS
Mrs. Ophelia Westbrooks Wherry, 104, of Munford, passed Friday, October 23, 2020 at her residence. There was a graveside service on October 28 at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery. Jefferson Mortuary, Inc. had charge.
