WARREN VINCENT ‘ANDY ANDERSON
U.S. Naval Chief Petty Officer Ret. Warren Vincent “Andy” Anderson, 84, of Millington, passed away on Wednesday afternoon October 7, 2020 after a well-lived life. A tech and gadget guru with a gruff exterior, he was ultimately a teddy bear who loved his pretzel sticks, Maryland Crab Cakes, and a squirt of ketchup on his spaghetti. A family hero who lived with six women in a one-bathroom house, Andy was preceded in death by the love of his life, his beautiful wife of 62 years, Virginia, and siblings Helen, Jim, Harrison, Pauline, and Evelyn. He is survived by his brother Charles, and five distinctive daughters Juliana Biggers (J.O.), Kelline Dent (Ted), Christine Yates (Steve), Mary Beth “Murph” Carver (Bobby), and Caroline Anderson. Born on December 22, 1935, in York Haven, Pa., to Theodore Anderson and Jenny Hake, Andy was the youngest of seven children. A Korean and Vietnam era veteran, Andy spent his career in the Navy serving and traveling around his country for 22 years. Ultimately settling in Millington with his family and proud of his service until his last days, Chief Anderson leaves behind a glorious legacy in his grandchildren: Joseph Biggers (Sarah), Shane Yates, Jennifer Taylor (Shaun), Juliana Williams (Brandon), Jeremy Dent (Brandy), Justin Yates (Lynn), Clyde Carver (Meagan), Alyse Anderson (Michael), John Myers (Madison), Kristina Dent, Sarah Carver (Dustin), Mathew Bailey (Crystal). He also leaves behind hope for the next generation through his great-grandchildren: Eli, Maddie, Kera, Lily, Liam, Noah, Ainsley, Joe, Carsyn, Jeremiah, James, Emersyn, Blakely, and soon to arrive Savannah (2020), and baby Anderson (2021). He will always be treasured by those who knew him best and will never be forgotten when the scent of cherry pipe tobacco is in the air. A celebration of life service for Mr. Anderson was held Oct. 18 at the Navy Lakehouse in Millington. “If you don’t know, then ask the Chief”.

LORRAINE ‘LORI’ FORSEE (PIC)
Lorraine (Davisson) Forsee, 66, of Millington, passed away suddenly on October 21, 2019. Lori was born and raised in St. Joseph, Mo., to a working single mother. As a child and teen, she overcame significant physical difficulties to become a determined and enduring young woman.  These life experiences also helped her to develop perseverance.  Her extended family embraced Lori and all her physical needs, gave her love and care, made her part of their family and took her to church where she accepted Jesus Christ as her savior as a child. At Central Bible College in Springfield, Mo., she met and then married her sweetheart and husband, Gary Forsee.  Both sensed a call from God to serve in church ministry with Assemblies of God churches in Illinois, Colorado, Michigan, Iowa and Tennessee while raising two sons. Lori and Gary also served in Christian School leadership in Tennessee, Missouri, Michigan, Wisconsin and Iowa.  They moved a lot! Some of the most cherished and memorable work experiences for Lori included: customer service at LifeWay Christian Store in Memphis, Office Receptionist at First Assembly of God – Memphis, The Timothy Group in Grand Rapids, Mich., and as a personal assistant to her husband’s ministry, wherever needed. Lori had a passion for genealogical research even before the internet was available, as she sought details about the family of her absent father.  Countless projects were successfully conducted to organize her findings about relatives, near and far, in time and distance. She also authored a few genealogy reports for her husband’s family, extended family and friends. She usually stayed busy researching, reviewing, editing her Ancestry records, or baking, reading, all the time planning her next travel adventure.  She was ready to go! Lately, she gathered old personal items and labeled them as “antiques”.  Her creative energy and genius revealed a knack for buying stuff for “Time Honored Treasures”, her vendor’s booth for antiques in Missouri.  Last Monday, October, 21, she was on her way to search for new treasures in Ripley, when the fatal car crash happened.  We will miss her smile and joyful laughter, her encouraging songs, her servant’s heart, her enduring devotion to her immediate family, her birth family, her extended family, church friends – near and far, her gifts of baked goods and her trust in God.  For a small lady, she had a big heart. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Rev. Gary Forsee of Millington; her two sons, Philip Forsee and wife Heather of Ozark, Mo., and Ben Forsee of Easton, PA; her much loved granddaughter, Collins Forsee; her brother, Gary Heater and wife Stephanie of St. Joseph; her extended family, Sharon Jones and husband Chester of Oxford, Ala., Sandra Lanning and husband Bill of Broken Arrow, Okla.; her brothers, Gary Stutzman of Portland, Ore., and Greg Stutzman of Minneapolis, Minn., nieces, nephews, in-laws and many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Davisson; her maternal uncle, James Heater; a second family, Stanley and Agnes Milbourn; a brother, Stanley Milbourn, Jr., and a sister, Peggy Norris. Lori will be remembered by friends and family at a visitation on Friday, Oct. 25, from 5 until 7 p.m. Celebration of Life services will be conducted on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 10:30 a.m., both events being held at Covington Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery in Covington. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to one of the following:  Shriner’s Childrens Hospital, Samaritans Purse – Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Project or a faith-based charity that directly serves the needs of the children.
