BOBBY LEE BRENT

Bobby Lee Brent, 45, of Drummonds, passed away on September 27, 2021 at Methodist North Hospital in Memphis.There was a walk through viewing for Mr. Brent on Oct. 1 at Jefferson Mortuary, Inc. in Millington. Interment followed at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Drummonds. Jefferson Mortuary, Inc. had charge.

EDDIE LEE ‘SNOWMAN’ CRAWFORD

Eddie Lee “Snowman” Crawford, 74, of Shelby County, passed away September 29, 2021 after suffering a stroke. Known as a professional wrestler the Snowman, Crawford was Christian, a proud father, served the county in the U.S. Air Force and was a professional athlete in basketball. Jefferson Mortuary had charge, 901-872-8800.

SYBIL ESTELLE BRUCE CROOK

Sybil Estelle Bruce Crook, 87, formerly of Millington,  died peacefully after a long illness on September 24, 2021 in Lewisburg. Services were held Oct. 1 at  Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home, in Millington. To send a flower arrangement or to plant trees in memory of Sybil Estelle Crook.

LINDA D. EDWARDS

Linda D. Edwards, 74, passed away September 24, 2021. The family received friends Oct. 1 at the Munford Chapel until the service. Interment followed in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Barton, Ark., with a graveside service. The family asks any memorials be made to the American Red Cross (redcross.org). Munford Funeral Home Munford Chapel had charge.

MARY BABE GLENN

Mary “Babe” Glenn, 80, of Millington, passed away September 24, 2021.The family received friends Sept. 29 until the service at the Munford Chapel. Interment followed in Poplar Grove Cemetery in Drummonds. Munford Funeral Home Munford Chapel had charge.

TREVA ANN HAMILTON

Treva Ann Hamilton, 85, of Millington, passed away on September 21, 2021 at Methodist Hospice Residence in Memphis. Visitation was held Sept. 30 at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home with funeral services following. Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home has charge. 

BRUCE ROY MANNAN

Bruce Roy Mannan, 74, of Millington, passed away September 23, 2021. Mr. Mannan was a U.S. Navy veteran who served in Vietnam and was a member of First Baptist Church Millington. He was preceded in death by his father, Cleo Fred Mannan, Jr. and mother, Evelyn Alice Smith; sister, Carol Baer; and brother, Clint Ulrich. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Mannan of Millington; daughter, Michelle Melloh of Millington; sisters, Joann McGever of Texas and Jody Irwin of Washington; brothers, Malcolm Mannan of Washington and Pete Ulrich of Washington; three grandchildren, Hannah Glenny, Andrew Glenny and Lydia Glenny all of Millington. Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel had charge.

CATHERINE RICHARDSON

Catherine Richardson 92 of Millington passed away Monday, September 27, 2021. Visitation will be held Friday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the Millington Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Oct. 8 at 11 a.m. At the Millington Funeral Home located at 7738 Church Street in Millington with interment to follow at St. Paul Church Cemetery located at 8883 Richardson Landing Road in Drummonds. Millington Funeral Home had charge. 

JIMMY LEE WHITEHURST

Jimmy Lee Whitehurst, 81, of Goose Creek, S.C., and formally of Munford, passed away September 22, 2021. He was a proud Navy Corpsman veteran. He leaves behind his wife Bettie Hamblin Whitehurst, and daughter Olivia (Libby) Whitehurst. He was a retired route salesman, a lover of conversation and a proud Alabama football fan. He will be remembered for his coffee conversations at the local coffee shops. He loved and cherished his family. He enjoyed his time fishing when he could and watching football when he was able. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him and mostly by his family. He was preceded in death by his son Randy W. Whitehurst, his parents Jesse L. Whitehurst, Sr. and Fannie C. Whitehurst. Brothers Johnny Dukes, Jesse R Whitehurst, Jr., Lewis Whitehurst and one sister Olive Whitehurst. Viewing will be at Munford Funeral Home, Munford, Sept. 27. Services were held Sept. 28 also in the Munford Funeral Home Chapel, interment followed in the Helen Crigger Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family ask that you make donations to the friends of Berkeley Animal Center, a non profit organization founded and ran by his daughter to help save the lives of the animals where he lived. www.friendsofberkeleyanimalcenter.
