The Millington Trojan Wrestling team made its long awaited return to State for the 2024 Class A Dual Wrestling Championship.
The Trojans made the big stage as a team for the first time since 1994. The third match of the tournament spotlights the Trojans vs. Pigeon Forge. Pigeon Forge was able to take the lead early and eventually hold off the Millington rally to advance 44-30 in the Williamson County Expo Center in Franklin.
For the first time in 30 years, the Millington Trojan Wrestling team won the Regional Dual Champions to advance to Sectionals.
The Trojans outlasted Montgomery Central High School in the Sectional Round earning a spot in the eight-team State Dual Championship in Franklin. Soddy Daisy emerged as the winners beating Tullahoma 44-16 in the finals.
