Pair of Tiger Greats

Two of The University of Memphis’ best football players, Alan Cross and DeAngelo Williams, met Saturday on the South Campus in the Billy J. Murphy Athletic Complex prior to conducting the 2016  Phenomenal Pro Football Camp. Cross, a Millington Central High School product, is the all-time leading tight end for the Tigers. Williams, who starred at the school in the early 2000s, is the all-time leading running back at Memphis. Both players shared their stories with current area high school standouts on their path to the NFL. Cross is currently a rookie with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Williams is with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
