Patriot Bank names Weaver as Arlington market executive

Patriot Bank is pleased to announce that Steve Weaver has joined the retail banking team as vice president and market executive for the Arlington area.  

Weaver is responsible for providing strategic leadership and building community relationships with a focus toward revenue growth and customer satisfaction. His office is located at 5340 Airline Road in Arlington.

“As the bank’s first market executive in the Arlington area, we know that Steve can drive growth, community engagement and profitability. He has an exceptional track record for credit underwriting, operational management and team collaboration.  With his knowledge and experience, we look forward to his input and welcome his passion for supporting customers in the Arlington market,” said Don Oliver, director of retail banking for Patriot Bank.

As a veteran in the banking industry, Weaver is well known throughout the community for his expertise in both the commercial and retail banking sectors. 

As such, he brings more than 30 years of experience to the Patriot team as he has served in a variety of roles throughout his career in the financial services industry.  Since his first job in 1996, Weaver has demonstrated a proven ability to lead with a strong commitment to teamwork and growth. He has had opportunities to open new banks and manage high-performing portfolios while recruiting and training valued employees for outstanding service and operational support.   

Weaver is a graduate of Mississippi State University where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1990 with concentrations in banking, finance and accounting.  He then went on to complete his M.B.A. in 1991.  

In addition, Weaver served as an American Institute of Banking instructor from 1994 to 1996, teaching economics, money and banking and marketing. His industry-specific credentials include training at the National Commercial Lending School at the University of Oklahoma, the Wachovia Commercial Lending School in Atlanta, and the Omega Commercial and Consumer Lending School. 

He has been an active member of the credit committee for the Tennessee Bankers Association, the board of directors for the Page Robbins Adult Day Care Center the advisory board of Mississippi State    University – M.B.A and the Economic Club of Memphis.

Weaver and his wife Kim live in Piperton.,and have five children and one grandchild.
