The Tipton-Rosemark Academy Lady Rebels saw their season come to a close Monday night after falling to the Northpoint Christian Trojans in the Regional Tournament.
Despite the loss, TRA showed grit and determination throughout the match, leaving the court with heads held high after a season filled with growth, leadership, and key accomplishments.
Northpoint’s balanced attack and strong defense ultimately proved too much for the Lady Rebels, but TRA’s effort never wavered. From the opening serve to the final point, the team battled with intensity, maintaining the same competitive spirit that carried them through the season.
Leading the Lady Rebels was Caroline Roland, who turned in a standout performance with 10 kills, one assist, and 11 digs, providing both offensive firepower and steady defense. Roland’s consistent play kept TRA competitive across all sets, as she showcased her ability to contribute from multiple positions on the court.
Defensively, Cheyanne Dunavant was a key factor, collecting 10 digs along with one assist, while Bailey Treadwell added 12 digs to help anchor the back row. Caroline Turner also made significant contributions on defense with eight digs, helping the Lady Rebels stay organized against Northpoint’s offensive pressure.
At the net, Carie Ann Fullen provided solid blocking, finishing the match with two blocks that helped disrupt Northpoint’s attack. Sequoia Slayman added one assist, contributing to the team’s effort to keep plays alive and maintain momentum through long rallies.
The team’s offense was guided by Corbin Garcia, who recorded 17 assists on the night. Her performance was another example of her leadership as the team’s primary setter and playmaker. This season, Garcia reached a major personal milestone—surpassing 500 assists, a testament to her consistency, accuracy, and dedication throughout the year.
The match also marked the final game for several key seniors whose leadership has defined the Lady Rebels’ program both on and off the court. Corbin Garcia, Caroline Turner, Carie Ann Fullen, and Sequoia Slayman each played their final match in a TRA uniform, leaving behind a legacy of commitment, teamwork, and resilience. Their experience and example have set a standard for the younger players who will continue to build on the foundation they helped create.
Although the season ended earlier than hoped, the Lady Rebels’ journey was filled with memorable performances and moments of growth. Competing in a challenging region, TRA consistently demonstrated strong defense, disciplined serving, and cohesive teamwork. The players’ ability to stay unified through adversity and maintain focus on improvement was a reflection of their dedication to both the sport and each other.
Under the direction of their coaching staff, the Lady Rebels have made steady progress as a program, developing both skill and chemistry. The 2025 campaign will be remembered for the team’s resilience, the leadership of its seniors, and the continued rise of younger talent ready to carry the program forward.
With the season now complete, Tipton-Rosemark Academy can look back with pride on a year that showcased their competitive spirit, teamwork, and growth—key elements that will continue to define the Lady Rebels volleyball program in seasons to come.
