Playhouse 51, Millington’s Community Theater presents The Psychic – a Murder Mystery of Sorts by Sam Bobrick on March 8, 9, 10, 15, and 16 at the Harvell Civic Center.  The show tells the tale of a down on his luck mystery writer who posts a sign in his apartment window offering psychic readings for $25 in a desperate attempt to make his rent.  This opens the door for an intriguing cast of characters to enter his world.  He soon finds himself embroiled in a string of bizarre and hilarious circumstances.

Playhouse 51 is thrilled to have David McKay making his solo directorial debut in this production. In this production you will see some familiar faces to the Playhouse 51 stage like Chris Carter, Michael Domingo, Barry Martin, Shannon Leonard and Brian Lucas as well as new comer to Playhouse 51 and theatre, Amber Scoggins.

“This is what community theatre is all about,” said Danny Armitage Executive Director of Playhouse 51. “We are proud of David McKay and the outstanding job he is doing in his first solo directorial debut.

David has been involved with our organization for many years now and is well prepared to try his hand at directing. We have young volunteers trying their hand at tech for this production as well as newcomers sharing the stage with seasoned actors. Only in community theatre does this happen. It is thrilling to see,” said Armitage.
