The week of April 11 had been a good one for the Millington Trojan Soccer team. The Trojans took another step toward a district regular-season title beating the Haywood Tomcats on the road 8-0. Millington traveled to the Tomcats on Monday and jumped out early led by Mauricio Luna with four goals. Chase Michael had a hat-trick of his own with three goals. And Aaron Blankenship closed out the scoring with a goal. The offense kept rolling Thursday evening back home taking on the Power Center Academy Knights. The scoring was more balanced in the latter game with eight Trojans connecting into the net during the 10-1 victory over Power Center. Trojans with one goal were Blankenship, Emir Jimenez, Noel Rostro, Yordi Ortiz, Josue Torres and Cole Michael. Millington players with a pair of goals were Daniel Garcia and Luna.
