Pray, Sing & Dance

The 10th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Celebration presented by St. Mark M.B. Church was held in the Millington Harvell Civic Center Monday morning. The event filled with special guests like guest speaker Rev. Dr. Christopher B. Davis helped pay tribute to the legacy of King and keep his vision for the future alive. As part of the day, there were songs like the one led by St. Mark Choir member Oberia Malone. A tribute in dance was performed by Mikayla Jones, Libiya Gray, Airen Young and Nya Ham. In addition, The Millington Star will feature the annual observance of Dr. King by Millington congregations of St. James and First United Methodist.
