Relay For Life: Fit for a King

Menu Friday night prior to the kickoff of the Covington vs. Millington football game at Mooney Boswell Field, officials and volunteers set up a Mardi Gras themed Relay for Life Carnival. Students from Millington Central High School worked along side Relay For Life volunteers helping to raise money for the event. The money raised through Relay For Life events helps realize the American Cancer Society’s mission: to save lives and celebrate life. Every day. Donations are used to fund live-saving cancer research, patient support programs, prevention information and education, and detection and treatment programs. Here’s how the money raised last year helped make a difference in 2016. Millington’s Relay For Life raised $19,000 before Friday night. The Carnival was conducted from 6 p.m. to midnight featuring a bounce, cake walk and 901 Rocks.
