Taking the Oath
Chris Ford is sworn in Monday night to Position 3 on the Millington Board of Mayor and Aldermen by Mayor Terry Jones immediately before the monthly meeting. He was appointed by the board on June 13 to fill the vacancy created by Jon Crisp’s May 1 resignation to accept his new job as executive director of the Millington Industrial Development Board. Ford will serve in the position for the remainder of Crisp’s term, which expires on Dec. 31. The winner of that position in the Nov. 8 election will serve a four-year term.
