JONESBORO, Ark. – Ritter Communications, a leading regional broadband provider headquartered in Jonesboro, Arkansas, is investing $12 million to implement a major network upgrade in 45 rural Northeast Arkansas and West Tennessee communities. Ritter Communications began the system upgrade in February and will have all upgrades completed by summer 2022.

Ritter Communications is upgrading the West Tennessee and Northeast Arkansas networks with state-of-the-art technology and highly-advanced equipment, capable of delivering internet speeds of up to 1 gigabit for residential customers. Along with faster downloads and uploads, features of the upgrade also include unlimited data and superior reliability and security.

“This is a comprehensive effort that will benefit all customers in every community served by our cable broadband network. We are pleased to launch this major network upgrade offering fiber-rich connectivity to our customers, complete with the most advanced and reliable telecommunications services.

Along with internet speeds up to 1 gigabit, customers can expect to see additional benefits such as increased reliability, added security and lightning-fast downloads,” said Ritter Communications CEO Alan Morse. “From education, to telemedicine, to working from home, our advanced speeds will improve our customers’ overall broadband experience. Ritter Communications thanks our customers for their patience as we work to provide them with the highest-quality fiber-rich internet services.

As the network upgrade project continues, Ritter Communications will strive to offer customers as much prior notice as possible before work begins in their neighborhood. In addition to phone calls and online browser notifications, Ritter Communications customers in these communities will receive a postcard with a URL leading to a website landing page with progress updates and announcements.

These landing pages will also be linked in email notifications. Customers should look for Ritter Communications trucks and work crews as a sign of ongoing upgrade work in the area.
