ROBBERY: Man presents Navy Federal Credit Union with note demanding money

Last Friday at 2:59 p.m., the Millington Police Department received a 911 call from the Navy Federal Credit Union located at 5600 Navy Road  with a robbery in progress. 

Millington officers responded to the call and arrived at the scene within two minutes and found a 71-year-old male white (Samuel Scott) was still present in the credit union. 

Officers were able to take him into custody without incident. Scott had given the teller a note announcing the robbery and demanded he receive money.

The Millington Police Department and the Memphis FBI Office are working on the investigation together. Currently Scott is being held at the Millington City Jail on one count of robbery with a $250,000 bond.  

This is an ongoing investigation.
