The matchup between the Munford Cougars and the Germantown Red Devils didn’t end well for the host Cougars, falling 56-40. Munford’s defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Standard, who shot 56 percent from the field to score 10 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Cougar Isaiah Britten posted 7 points. Munford has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That’s put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Germantown, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
