By Thomas Sellers Jr. There was a change of plans for the 2018-19 regular season finale for the Bolivar Central Lady Tigers and Millington Lady Trojans. The Friday night contest was originally scheduled to be played at Bolivar Central. But the game was moved to Shelby County in the William Osteen Gymnasium because of a flu outbreak in Hardeman County. School and all school events on the BCHS campus were cancelled. The Lady Tigers arrived to Flag City for the 6 p.m. tipoff and behind a steady attack led by Hailey Hardaway prevailed 64-38 over Millington. The Lady Trojans looked poised to win the District 15-2A contest in the opening minutes jumping out 18-12. Millington got the scoring started with a Sky Clark three-pointer. Then her teammates Taylor Payne, Micaiah Halliburton, Jon’Tavia Bonner and Jamiya Turner all contributed to the 18 points. Halliburton drained a pair of three-pointers in the first quarter. Then the Lady Tigers responded with a 6-0 run to close out the first period. Then Bolivar won the second quarter 20-0 to seize control of the contest. Hardaway kept the Lady Trojans at bay with 11 points in the third quarter. Bolivar was ahead 58-26 entering the fourth period.

Millington outscored Bolivar 12-6 in the fourth quarter.
