*Tipton-Rosemark Academy Lady Rebel Soccer Head Coach Stephen Starnes and his players celebrated Senior Night for nine players last Thursday at Lady Rebel Field. The Lady Rebels took on the Ripley Lady Tigers in the regular-season finale. The goal of Emma Pence put the Lady Rebels up 1-0 at halftime. The 2021 Lady Rebels are Baylee Harrison, Maley Ford, Addie Glass, Isabella Goodwin, Heather Nichols, Caroline Jones, Mallory Jones, Zoe Jones, Maggie McCool, Emma Pence, Sophie Roane, Shasta Slayman, Sierra Slayman, Maddie White, Gracen Williams, Kaylie Woelm, Myah Wright, Emma Bain, Grace Bell, Savannah Bishop, Ryleigh Bowers, Brooke Cox, Audrey Dallas and Elizabeth English.
*Tipton-Rosemark Academy Lady Rebel Volleyball program under the guidance of Amy Witherington held Senior Night for No. 10 Devin Darnell Sept. 30 in the TRA Gymnasium. The ECS Lady Eagles led by former Lady Rebel great Bethany Berger-Stewart spoiled the night for Darnell and the Lady Rebels winning the regular-season finale. The Lady Rebels led by Witherington and Assistant Coach Wendy Porter are Darnell, Sophia Clift, Lily Dishner, Lily Fly, Hannah Frye, Lillie Garner, Brooke Harrison, Lydia Harvey, Olivia McCalla, Maddie McGoldrick, Ella McIntosh, Lainey Paige, Alice Sigler and Addie Thorpe.
*Senior Night in the William Osteen Gymnasium for a trio of Millington Lady Trojans. The 2021 Senior Night for the Millington Volleyball team got off to a great start as seniors Emily Denson (19), Abbie Gallo (1) and Savannah Spearman (9) all sang the National Anthem before the game vs. Ripley last Thursday night. The Lady Tigers then shut the door on the night ending on a happy note by defeating the Trojans in four sets 25-15, 23-25, 25-18 and 25-16.
Although it was senior night, the sophomores provided a glimpse of the future and it looks bright. Janie Smith had 48 assists, 7 digs, 3 kills and 2 aces in the match, Kaira Lopez had 42 assists, 10 digs, 6 kills and 4 aces and Shelby Pindell had a team high 11 kills. Senior Savannah Spearman had 4 kills, 5 aces and 7 digs as well.
