Once again the Brighton Cardinal Cross Country program is preparing to fly to State. The 2023 TSSAA State Cross Country Championship will be held Thursday and Friday at Sanders Ferry Park in Hendersonville.
The Lady Cardinal team made it to state and Ione Cardinal, Braxton Hughes, will join them in the State meet.
The 2023 Lady Cardinals competing in State are Britt Ray, Jade Luttrell-Davis, Diana Gobellan, Zikiya Tipton, Presley Smith, Camilla Garcia, Genevieve Maclin and Precious Dennisdan.
Other area runners to reach State for girls in their respective classifications are Aniyah Moore of Millington Central, Amber Gispon of Tipton-Rosemark Academy, Emily Bey and Cara Bruce of Munford High School.
Area boys to reach the State meet are Evan Anderson, Ethan Ebbinghaus, Daniel Garcia, Kingston Miller, Jayden Moncier, Colyn Sawyer and James Tuepker of Millington Central, and Hayden Bishop, Zachary Crane, Will Goudy, Jackson Guinn, Walt McIntosh, Graeme Sealy and Yianni Sinis of TRA.
