Tipton-Rosemark Academy would like to announce the hiring of Brad Smith as Co-Head baseball coach for the 2023 season.
Smith will join Head Coach Jacob Cole in the dugout and both coaches are excited about the upcoming campaign and this collaboration.
“I am very excited to be back home at TRA coaching baseball,” Smith said. “I would like to thank Coach Cole for giving me the opportunity to coach alongside him as well as the TRA administration for allowing me to be a part of the TRA baseball family again.”
Coach Cole said, “I am very excited about the addition of Coach Smith to our staff. He brings a wealth of knowledge about the game of baseball and obviously is very familiar with the program. TRA baseball wouldn’t be near what it is today without Coach Smith. I can also say the same thing about my coaching career; I have learned a ton from him and look forward to working side by side with him this season and in the future.”
In addition, TRA Athletic Director Johnie Sanfratello is very enthusiastic for the season to begin and looks forward to this coaching combination.
“I am very excited to welcome Coach Smith back to the TRA baseball family,” Sanfratello said. “With more than 300 career wins, he will be a huge addition to our staff and I can’t wait to see them together again in the dugout when March arrives.”
TRA Head of School, Dr. Andy Graham stated “Both of these coaches are excited about this collaboration and about the season ahead. I truly feel that we will have the best baseball staff in the area with Coach Cole and Coach Smith. These coaches have both led teams to the state, and we look forward to the impact they will have leading and mentoring these young men.”
TRA will begin preseason workouts in January 2023.
