The Brighton Lady Cardinal Cross Country team is going to State. Yesterday under the guidance of coaches Brian Oswalt and Reed Spicer, Lady Cardinals Brie Howard, Kailyn Varnadore, Carson Waddle not pictured, Kamryn Bridges, Presley Smith, Mackenzie Winnans and Hailey Landers earned a spot in next week’s State Meet.
The team came in third with Howard finishing in fourth, Landers taking 13th place and Varnadore in 20th.
The 2020 championship dates are Nov. 5-6 in the Nashville area at Sanders Ferry Park. The course is a 70-acre lakeside park operated by the city of Hendersonville located on a peninsula surrounded by Old Hickory Lake. The park is located northeast of Nashville about 10 miles east of I-65.
